Sammy J's Grill & Bar South Surrey

Ordered pizza and obviously its ore-made frozen one. Was horrible and was even still a bit cold. At 5PM the music was SO loud! We could barely hear each other. Its a restaurant not a club

Loved the atmosphere of the restaurant, unfortunately I found a hair in my food and the staff didn’t really do much for that. I was brought new fries (where the hair was found) but still paid for the meal, wasn’t offered anything else with the mistake. Not a great way to win a customer over…

Tried to get a reso for a Fri. Night. Was told they don’t take resos until 8 on Fri nights but we could walk in. Arrived at 5:10 front staff person was very short with us. Offered us a table on patio. It was raining. We declined. We said what about a table inside. There’s several available that we can see. She said those have reservations at 5:30. Said we were told that you don’t take reservations until after 8 on Friday nights. She shrugged her shoulders and said nothing inside. You can wait but it will be at least 25 min. Said no thanks we will go to Morgan. Went to Morgan who were very happy to accommodate us even thought they were busy. Had a great meal. Won’t be heading back to Sammy J’s any time soon. Very disappointed as we are always looking for new restaurants to frequent.

Consistently the best service & staff, vibe, drinks and food every time!

We were there during the Stanley Cup Finals game 1 the service was great even with the trainee, there was a small issue with our wings and they replaced them immediately. We sat in the patio area it was all pretty great.

My first time at Sammy J's in a many years and had a great experience thanks to the tips in the reviews I read on here. Sat on the patio for a less noisy and relaxing dining experience and it was great. Food and service was excellent. Will definitely be returning.

I haven't been to Sammy J's for a long time and stopped there for lunch with a friend. We shared a beef dip and it was delicious! Our server was great and she had the kitchen split the order so we each had our own plate and didn't have to split it at the table. Will definitely head back there again soon.

We had a big group that was getting together for a social/ meeting. The staff were very helpful and accommodating with our arrangements. Service was excellent. It is too loud if you need to talk to the whole group but it's a great spot for a social.

Amazing service, a great menu that has so many items that the Cactus Clubs & Earl's of this world are missing (like the amazing blackened chicken fajitas with loads of customizations). The amount of tvs and space to watch multiple sports events at once is key during this time of the NHL / NBA season. Literally our favourite sit-down restaurant in Surrey.

Great place to eat , kid friendly, lots of parking , good service and coffee good. We were three and all enjoyed our lunch and were never rushed while we chatted

Sammy J's is always our first choice for lunch, we go there regularly. Our server, Jessica ( a Jane Syemour look alike) is the best! She's been our server for a long time and you just can't get a server better than her ( I hope the manager takes notice 😊)! Food is always good and fresh, prices are reasonable. We love their outdoor room especially on a cloudy winter day, we feel lucky to have this restaurant in our neighborhood.

Hostile and belligerent. Recognizing it was Christmas Eve, we phoned ahead. Sure come on in, last call 4.45. We got there just after 4. Unwelcoming hostess informed us that last call was at4.30. Implying we could leave…. This was the thread of the evening . Ice cold lack of service from thereon. Plunked appetizers and mains on table. 20 minutes after asking for pepper plunked on table as well. When asked to speak to manager, attitude galore. Manager was not available until asked to discuss the bill. Best tool in his tool box was to to call rcmp. I suggested he did. Absolutely worst of worst of service. Food was ok.

Great food. I wish they put as much care into take out as they do into dining in. I ordered steak and eggs and they forgot to include the special mayo sauce they normally do.
