Samz Neighbourhood Pub Surrey & Langley

We had a really disappointing experience here. Our server — a white woman — wasn’t outright rude, but her attitude was incredibly dismissive. From the start, she rushed us to place our order, made us feel like we didn’t belong, and seemed impatient with the fact that we needed a little help understanding the menu. Instead of being accommodating, she started speaking even faster, making it harder for us.

Despite us being nothing but polite and respectful, she stopped serving us anything before 10, even though the restaurant was still open and others were still being served. It felt like we were being pushed out. The whole experience was uncomfortable, and it’s sad because we were genuinely looking forward to a nice evening.

Wouldn’t recommend based on this kind of treatment.

No one acknowledges you as you walk in and look for table - which isn’t hard because no one goes in there. Atmosphere is not welcoming or enjoyable. Bartender looked at us as if we wrecked her day by telling her we were leaving. Sad spot.

Not a bad place to stop for a bite and a drink.

I've always liked this pub and I often stop in when in town. Came last month on a Friday and there was lots of parking, which was the first red flag. Lots of seating was the second red flag. The waitress was extremely unfriendly, except with a table of regulars, third red flag. The food was priced much higher than in the past, somewhat understandable, but the food wasn't great either.

I don't know if its new ownership or new management, but there's new something besides the unhappy waitresses. It didn't appear any of them were that friendly, but ours sure wasn't.

Haven't decided if I'll try it again. Maybe in a after few visits to give it time so someone can fix, what is clearly, more than one problem.

Don’t go here even if for one drink. The servers tip off the rcmp and it never ends well. Terrible place

We've driven by this place so many times and discounted it however... When we went in in a Friday night around 8pm it was vibrant, full of people. A very good neighbourhood pub with fantastic service and food that is of great value. I prefer a place with a bit better craft beer selection however will definitely be back again

We came to this bar last minute trying to find the canucks game and wow were we surprised! The service was absolutely amazing, our bartender Katelyn was a breath of fresh air; always making sure we were taken care of and providing reccomendations for food and drinks throughout the evening. Definitely reccomend this place and will be back soon!

Busy place but they were well staffed and the foot was pretty decent

Great food and service. Daily specials and good viewing for a sports bar makes Samz a great option.
