Showshaa - The Modern Taproom

Ordered the honey chilli potato, corn chops, kadahi paneer, daal tadka and a few naans and rotis. Appetizers were 10/10! Honey chilli potatoes were the perfect balance of sweet and spicy and corn chips were crispy and flavourful as usual. Daal tadka was comforting and the rotis and naans were cooked well. But however, the kadahi paneer was terrible. The gravy was not kadahi gravy and had a weird taste to it. Overall, food was good and so was the ambience; would recommend this restaurant but not the kadahi paneer!

Food is mostly good. Tried mostly chineese. Lollypop was great. Fish tandoori was amazing. Spring rolls were VERY BAD, they were the tiny ones you get in North American chineese restraunts.
Indo chineese was okay.
Good beer selection.

Service is polite but very unattentive and slow. They are probably understaffed. You have to flag them down for everything from water to ordering to getting the check to having them clear empty plates. When you do finally place the order they do bring it in good time.

Will come back again for trying naan and curries and street food.

We ordered Chicken sizzle. The chicken in this sizzler seemed like taken out from any random curry dish. There was no crispness that you associate with a sizzler. There were hardly any vegetables. It is the most listless sizzler ive ever had. The service was strictly OK. The atmosphere lacked vibrancy. Disappointed.

Top notch service provided by each and every staff member. Food was amazing. We ordered sesame paneer fingers, Honey Chill potatoes,panner angara.

We’ve been huge fans of Showshaa for a long time, have had the Dal Makhni Fondue at least 8–10 times before, and often recommend it to friends and family.
But today’s experience was honestly disappointing.

We ordered our usual fondue along with some Hakka noodles, paneer sizzler, and starters, but everything was unexpectedly very spicy, especially the fondue. We politely asked if it could be replaced, and after waiting about 10 minutes, it came back tasting just as spicy. When we mentioned it again, the staff insisted “this is how it always is, I don't know why you are finding it spicy,” which felt dismissive.

To make matters worse, we were still charged for the fondue even though we barely ate it, and when I questioned it, the server said it was because we “had some of the naan pieces” and that “it’s not my fault.” That response, especially after being regular guests, felt really disappointing.

We’ve always loved coming here, but today’s experience left us rethinking our visits, we hope management takes this feedback seriously and focuses more on listening to loyal guests instead of defending poor service.

Absolutely Outstanding!
From start to finish, our experience at Showshaa- The Modern taproom was phenomenal. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the staff Jassi and Gurneet were friendly and attentive without being intrusive, and the food was simply incredible. Every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor — you can really tell the chef puts passion into every detail.

We had organized a Diwali office party last weekend!! It was very well planned and executed. The staff, food and ambiance were amazing. The party room and patio was perfect and very private . Will definitely keep this place in mind for planning future events!! Would like to give a special shout out to Khushi who took personal care in ensuring that everyone was well looked after. We are regular customers, but lately we’ve been disappointed with the food quality. The first time we ordered chicken tikka masala, it wasn’t good, so we called and were assured that things would be better next time. However, today’s butter chicken was also not worth the money — it lacked cream and mainly tasted of tomato paste. We hope you take this feedback seriously and work on improving the taste and consistency.
