Really disappointing experience with the store manager
I took a while to write this review, but the more I think about what happened, the more convinced I am that I shouldn’t stay silent and should report this.
I went in to buy a drink. The young guy at the register was very friendly but clearly new. I asked if he could please serve my drink in one of those reusable cups. He had trouble finding it in the system, so he asked a coworker how to ring it in.
This coworker came over with a very rude attitude. Without looking at me or acknowledging me at all, she told him: “You have to ring in the cup and also the straw.” I immediately said, “No, I don’t want an extra straw.” She replied rudely, “That’s how it has to be.” I said, “I’m pretty sure that’s not right — it says cup with straw, plus an extra straw.” She didn’t answer and just walked away. The guy ended up charging me for the drink, the cup, and the straw. At that point, I still didn’t realize how bad her attitude really was.
When I went over to the hand-off area to wait for my drink, I asked her, “Are you the manager?” She said yes — again, with a horrible attitude. I told her I was sure they had charged me wrong, that it says cup with straw and then extra straw. Her tone immediately shifted from rude to even ruder, and with condescension she said: “If we’re wrong, I’ll give you a refund — I don’t want to take a dollar from you. For us it’s just a dollar, apparently for you it matters a lot.” At that moment I realized she was just being mean on purpose. I replied, “I wouldn’t care if it was ten cents — if it needs to be paid, I’ll gladly pay it. But here you’re the one who’s wrong.”
She asked to see the receipt, saw that I was right, and told the guy to refund the straw. Then I asked for her name so I could report her to customer service, and she refused, saying it wasn’t their policy to give her name. I told her actually she should be wearing a name tag. From that moment on, she deliberately avoided looking at me and completely ignored me as if I didn’t exist.
Of course I brought this up to customer service through chat because I found it totally inappropriate that the manager would act with such entitlement. In fact they should show their names, I found out. I don’t know if she treated me this way because of racism or what, but I left with a very, very bad taste in my mouth. Please do something about this — it was awful.

The music in here tends to be a bit loud but I don’t think they can control that :). I always go here, since about 2020. I love the service during rush, peak hours, any hours, is quick, kind, and not too fussy. I really like the quality of the drink as well, the espresso is never sour or more bitter than coffee usually is :). I love this Starbucks location.

This Starbucks location is truly something special! The team here, especially the girls who are always so warm and friendly. They remember my name and even the little details I’ve shared about exciting things happening in my life. It’s those small, thoughtful gestures that make a big difference, and they never fail to go above and beyond. It’s more than just grabbing coffee, it’s a genuinely uplifting part of my day every time I visit.

Got a VT Matcha Crème frappe with no classic almond milk and two pumps of peppermint. And let me tell you possibly one of the worst drinks I have had all I taste is a very strong matcha no peppermint and it has lumps in it. So disappointing as I didn’t taste till I got home.

Went today during a very sunny day so I bought an iced matcha latte with no sugar. Staff were friendly and always smiling haha. Patiently waited when I was picking what I want, took me a long time haha. Great place, went around lunch time and it was quiet. Not that big but the interior design made it more spacious so that's a plus. We all know what Starbucks is but this spot in Fraser Heights is great! Coming back that's for sure.

The service could have been faster but why bother. “There’s so many people here that are my friends that I would rather talk to rather than make your order.”

There were three servers, but it wasn't busy. I ordered a drink, waited about 10 minutes, and asked for a straw, but there was no response. He then threw the straw at me. I feel a little offended.
Service was slow but it is a busy area.

I look forward to my daily coffee run at this location. I appreciate how it’s always well staffed - allowing baristas to efficiently work but also connect. The baristas usually leave uplifting notes on cups which will brighten your day - a practice not very common anymore at sbux but surely adored!

Whether it's the perfectly brewed coffee or the personalized touch they add to my order, I really appreciate how they make each experience feel special. Every time I walk in, it's like they know exactly how to make my day better. Keep up the incredible work!
