Changing my review. I did like this place when they had the vegan donuts, but since they stopped making them I don't really go. There are only a couple of other vegan bakery options and they are just ok.

Terrible experience from start to finish. This was by far the worst experience I’ve had with any business owner. The baker (also the owner) was extremely rude and only communicated through email, which made the entire process frustrating and impersonal.
There was quite a bit of back-and-forth before I finalized my order—two days before I needed the cake—and at no point was I told it was past the cut-off date. The day after I submitted the final details, I followed up to confirm everything was good. That’s when I was abruptly told she wouldn’t be taking the order because it was “too late.” Oddly enough, she changed her mind shortly after and told me to transfer the full payment to proceed.
When I noticed the final total was higher than her initial quote, I simply asked for clarification. It took multiple messages and only after expressing how disappointed I was did she finally respond.
As for the cake itself: completely underwhelming. It neither looked appealing nor tasted like a proper cake. It was dense, flavorless, and honestly felt like it had been thrown together without care. For $150, this was a complete disappointment. Not sure if it was done out of spite or carelessness, but either way, I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

The gelato was VERY expensive. We ordered 2 very tiny cups that were filled to a bit above the lip of the cup and it came to $21.00. The lady at the counter was abrupt and showed us the cup sizes and when we picked the cup, she added that if we wanted a plastic lid, it would be extra (I was a bit taken back as I hadn’t asked for one). Every place has different sizes and prices but personally, I was shocked at the quantity vs what it cost. The couple behind me also looked shocked and from reviewing numerous other reviews, a lot of others say the same thing, very high priced, subpar quality and disappointing. For the gelato, I saw no difference in quality and unfortunately we will have to pass on this cafe next time.

Quite possibly the greatest Bakery/Cafe I've visited, my experience here was life-changing in terms of taste. It's more addictive than any drug. The Ube Bun and Espresso con Pana was so good I can not find an English word to describe it. So I'll use a foreign one.
Everything I try here is always good! Especially fond of their cheddar scones, they're so buttery and soft inside, with perfect crisp outsides. Lots of vegan selection too, and the staff are always friendly and kind.

Tried four of their cakes. Strawberry shortcake and Ube Basque cheesecake were the highlights flavour wise but not sure if I would pay close to $10 for a slice. The cake texture is on the denser side which may not be for everyone. Might come back next time to try pastry items instead.
Parking: Very hard to find street parking. The spots in the parking lot are all reserved for clinics.
The food overall was actually pretty great and their vegan chocolate cake is brilliant. The reason I am giving two stars is because of their customer service when something goes wrong. I bought a strawberry shortcake cake and all 4 strawberries the next day were shriveled and sad. Two were moldy and one of those was a very fuzzy moldy. It was in the fridge the whole time. I called and was told that the people in the store cannot deal with these kind of issues and to send an email. I did so and received a friendly email saying to send my phone number and there would be a store credit on my number next time I came into the store. I came into the store 13 days later and gave my phone number and was then told that I had nothing on my phone number. The lady then had to call the owner or manager I'm not sure which and they credited me $10 for my $46 cake with mold on it. I am grateful for the $10 but the process should have been more streamlined and I didn't appreciate feeling like I was the problem while waiting for a solution to my credit not existing.
