I've been wanting to try fufu for a while and I was finally able to try it from this family-owned restaurant. Since my first visit, I've came back here again, and the owner remembered me! She was very nice, and it made the dining experience so much better.
I got the jollof rice with jerk-honey chicken, as well as the pounded yam with egushi stew. Everything was delicious, but I'll definitely be coming back again for their egushi stew. The stew was flavorful, spicy, filling and went really well with the fufu. I'd also love to try their other menu items!
Great food, generous portions. I would definitely recommend this place.

More of a take out place but the food was awesome and the people working were very kind! Will return for more fufu and egusi

A bit pricey, probably because it’s been hyped up on social media. But the workers are very kind and the food is good ?

Got there when it just opened. It was a very home oriented shop, extremely casual. Food was amazing! I am already craving it again.

Food is decent. However considering that everything here is practically pre-cooked and sitting under a heating lamp for the entire day aka. nothing is actually made to order.. is just wrong for charging what you charge. Basically, you're serving stale food at a price to portion ratio that does not match up.
I've been coming here for 3 years, the average prices has gone up by 40-50% during this period for your mains. For this reason alone I don't see myself coming back anymore.
Family style, casual setup, service is average, lots of authentic African food. Great place for spicy lover, I can’t handle it and don’t get recommendations for alternative

The jollof rice is better than my mom’s biriyani!

Was worth driving from downtown Vancouver to this location to get good Ghanaian food!

I was trying a few African restaurants around the area and this was last on the list. I'm very confused with the soup I got. I ordered Egusi and instead I got some red soup with bones. The staff seemed annoyed when I showed up for some reason even tho the restaurant was quiet at lunch time.

Restaurantji Recommends
Insanely good. We got the jollof with beef stew and jollof with honey jerk chicken and sat inside. It’s definitely more of a takeout place environment-wise but the food is absolutely delicious. It could use a bit better of a meat to rice ratio but I definitely recommend trying this place if you’re in Surrey and looking for something new to try!

Egusi soup was incredibly salty. Fufu was great. If it was less salty I would have loved it, but it's not edible for me
Not gonna lie. Ever since the owner left the restaurant food has not been the same. The okra and egusi they make super spicy and over do it with the palm oil which is not healthy. Egusi and okra stew are not supposed to look the same colour. Because they ad sooo much palm oil it looks and tast the same and not appetizing at all. The plantain is greasy and too ripe and squishy. The atmosphere over all is like a 5/10. I wish you guys can look at the reviews and do better. God bless

4 years ago: Love it!
Update:
Ordered from here after 4 years of not having it, kind of disappointed because on Uber eats it shows an image where you can get jerk chicken with coleslaw and rice w/ chicken, but there was no coleslaw. Their website also doesn’t work so there was no way to confirm this so maybe that’s my bad, but for $24 compared to old price $14-$17.
I was shocked because there was a lot of rice, two semi-small pieces of chicken but no veggie at all. And I remember the coleslaw used to come with the meal. I’d still come back and eat here, but still disappointing after working all day, opening up the food 3 hours later to finally eat, just to see no veggie
