Wow, Tawara really knocked it out of the park on my first visit! The staff was super welcoming and even surprised us with a free appetizer that was absolutely scrumptious. The sushi? Incredible! Each roll was a work of art, both in taste and presentation. I’m already planning my next visit—highly recommend checking this place out!

This is my family’s favourite Sushi spot in the whole lower mainland. The quality is beyond expectations and flavourful, fresh ingredients and the service is spot on. I highly recommend the Toro Nigiri!! Everything we’ve ordered is amazing. Owners and staff are super welcoming and always offer great service. This is definitely a gem in the neighborhood and deserves much praise. We come here at least once or twice a month. Worth the drive if you live far trust me.
Dirty establishment and unpleasant service.Floors were notably dirty. The spice container I was given for udon soup was crusty and sticky. There were dirty sneakers and a toolbox out in the open. Did not get the impression that the back would be any more sanitary if this is how the customer space was treated.Sent back a dish which tasted off like dish soap and freezer. When the food was on the bill, the waitress said that it was because no one else complains. I see based on other reviews that food quality concerns are not 'just me'.Waitress did agree to remove the dish after discussion - we still left a tip for being accommodating. However, when we left the waitress was muttering under her breath. Very unpleasant atmosphere and service.I highly recommend Momotaro or Maple Sushi if you can make the trip out the South Surrey.

This place is one of my favorites sushi restaurants, I don't care to drive 40 min to get it just to get the amazing sushi that they offer. Last time I tried the house roll and was delicious!.
