8 of us went out there for dinner, the food took a long time to get, and most of it wasn’t very good, some of the guests hardly touch their plate on top of it they arbitrarily put tips on the bills. I thought tipping is still voluntary in Canada??? Won’t be back

Lunch on Oct 16 2024 - cheeseburger was served with sour/bad meat patty. One bite it was clearly not eatable. Sent it back and was not offered an alternative or replacement. To add insult to injury I was charged for it with a 25% discount????? Left hungry and insulted. We used to be regular customers and had many meetings there. Time to change venues. Don't order the cheese burger!

Decent place, went for brunch. Pleasant servers, decent Benny, great pancakes and perfectly done shredded hash. Caesar’s were spot on and had a relaxed atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back to try other menu.
Nice place. OK food. Super mocktails! Wonderful decorations - good for horse racing enthusiasts. Sooo many great trophies and photos! (There must be a story there somewhere). Perfect for just crossing the border in to Canada and being hungry. Perfect for Canada Customs Officers to have a meal during shift or a meet up before or after shift. Read the menu very carefully. Ask what really comes with it for free before being overcharged at the end (don’t assume). Take note the caesar salad is not romaine but iceberg lettuce. The beef dip contains a small amount of beef slice and is the same beef slice used in the beef barley soup. Beef barley soup was fine slices of beef; barley; thin beef broth (a watered down version of thick beef broth used with the beef dip). Honestly we felt like there wasn’t the enthusiasm to promote the menu or cook it. It was tasty- filling- but something was missing. Perhaps it was the time we went. (Noon on a Monday- only 5 tables being attended to) - lack of interest? Only one dessert offered and it took a while - cheese cake - nothing special- had to be thawed so I am guessing Syscos? 2 sliced strawberries were the fresh fruit (promoted as topped with fresh fruit ??♀️??♀️). Overall it was food and it was edible. The man was sarcastic and the teen waiter was not trained yet. I will love to see other comments- items that are tastier/better. Maybe we will try again in a few months. Most likely not.

We went for lunch at the Derby Bar and Grill. We had lunch on the Patio which was lovely. The service was great our waitress was very pleasant and efficient. I ordered the Burger and steak fries which was delicious. My husband had the fish and chips and was very happy with his lunch. If you are looking for a nice relaxing place with excellent food and at a very reasonable price the Derby Bar and Grill is the perfect place to go. Try eating on the patio or in the actual restaurant. We left very full and happy. :) Thank you Derby Bar and Grill. Deryl Moriarty. :)
