Met friends for Happy Hour. We had the Brussel sprouts, 2 taco trios and nachos. We shared and there was plenty for the 4 of us. We even took some home. Everything was delish especially the brussel sprouts. Great Happy Hour menu and prices. Francis, the manager was wonderful as were the rest of the staff. Reasonably priced wine as well. Great to have a neighborhood pub that is so good!

Went there for brunch and enjoyed the classic Bennie. The service was really good. It's a little local pub with TVs on all the tables to watch races etc.

Such a fun place to watch the races. The pizza and spaghetti are scrumptious. The staff are fun and great at getting you stuff. Lots of screens, no lines at the betting box. Lots of room to cheer your horse on.

Our friend who lives close by recently went on a weekday and suggested we have lunch here on a Saturday. It’s interesting that it’s a eat, drink and betting establishment. Horse racing/derby theme throughout. Monitors are tuned to horse racing, with betting machines inside. Most patrons are derby fans and every Saturday they hold a Handicapping Contest starting at noon so more than half the seating is reserved for that.Service was great, food was good and reasonably priced but betting fans can be very enthusiastic and noisy, so be prepared for that. We had no choice but to be seated by a large group this day (Saturday). The Caesar Chicken Wrap ($16) and Chicken Clubhouse ($16) had nice chunky pieces of chicken (see pics). The Mushroom Swiss Burger ($19) was good but fries were limp and a little oily. All sandwiches, wraps and burgers come with soup or fries.Website says minors are welcome when accompanied by an adult until 10 pm but they’re only open until 5pm some days, earlier others. There was swearing given the clientele so be prepared for that also.Suggest going on a weekday may be more suitable with minors. There is parking in front and along one side.Located very close to the Canada/USA Pacific aka Douglas Border Crossing at 0 Ave. Surrey.

Didn't make it across the border? Come here for a drink and bet on some horse races. Every table comes with a TV to view the races

The worst. Arrived at 4pm and were told the kitchen was closed. Their hours are until 5. Was told they are a betting establishment not a restaurant. Asked for a manager. Was told they didn’t have one. Wondering if they can even operate as a betting establishment with a kitchen that is closed?

There cannot be a better beef barley soup anywhere than at the fern today. Food is always good. Never disappoints. Service is great
