I love White spot.. I DON'T appreciate having to listen to some KARENS phone on speaker phone.. manager heard it did NOTHING, servers did NOTHING.. cell phones on speaker phone should be BANNED

On July 20th my in-laws came to visit so we decided to go to White Spot in Surrey Central for dinner.
We sat down our server was kind & gave us amazing service. Food, drinks came and it was hot & fresh, I was feeling happy & relaxed. At the end of the meal my father in-law wanted another Nat’s pale ale because he said it was really good. We ordered from our server & the manager brought the beer. She paused for a moment and told us she couldn’t serve it because there was no food. She instructed us that we must have food with our beer. I told her we already ate and we just wanted another beer. She said no, repeated the second time and walked away.
We spent almost $300 on the bill and this is how you ruin a family meal. I understand that you don’t want to get fined and you have to follow the rules. Give us complimentary slice of bread or a wedge of lemon with the beer if you think you need to have food with alcohol. THINK WOMAN!! I hate the fact that when your server made you feel great & welcome but the manager makes you feel like crap. The server needs to train the manager what service is about. Embarrassing.
BTW, the comment down below from the management doesn’t do anything. It looks like they care but they don’t.

Had the pleasure of meeting a friend for lunch and we had great service from our server (sorry I forgot his name). We both had the legendary burger bundle and was cooked well and tasted great. We especially liked the Mango Strawberry Lemonade and perfect for these hot summer days. The fresh blueberry pie (felt like the blueberries were freshly picked) and was perfect for the ending of a great meal.
