The beef curry tastes great, but when getting takeout, they add a huge potato in the curry sauce container. Coupled with several big chunks of beef, you barely have any curry sauce left.
There were lots of bones in the small chicken pieces as well.
Overall not very good value for the price you are paying, especially in a food court

Oh my lord. This place is the definition of a hidden gem! It's been in this food court for as long as I can remember. I've lived in Guildford my entire life, and I have also been coming to this T&T my whole life. I've eaten at almost every eatery in the food court except for this place, and I'm not quite sure why. I usually just get sushi or a bahn mi. Although, the sushi place did change owners quite a while ago, so, I haven't really been eating there anymore.
Anyway, I can't believe I've never tried YL's Curry Bowl's food; it is absolutely fantastic. I got the curry beef brisket. It comes with rice and potatoes and it is so delicious. Super filling. I also got the roti canai, which I love, and I've somehow never noticed they even had it here. Definitely coming back.

Did a take out recently- was a 65$ order- had the gall to ask for 50 cent ( two bags)- Really? I can understand it it was a 5-10$ order. The food was mediocre- kinda sloppy. Wasn't worth the monies. Pvt

Was craving some curry so ordered to-go for myself and wife. Ordered beef brisket for the missus and Curry Chicken for myself.
Portion-wise, they give an excellent amount balanced against two standard scoops of rice. The taste of the curry itself is DELICIOUS: savory and hearty.
Two gripes which resulted in removal of a star. Firstly, the 3 slices of cucumber: couldn't they give a few more to fill the space or maybe include a few slices of tomato? Secondly, the chicken is chopped poorly with shattered bones throughout the dish. I spent a lot of time spitting out bits of bone or trying to be careful that I don't get a bone sliver in my gums.
Hopefully they see this feedback and can improve how they prepare the chicken and can give a bit more sliced veggies. Otherwise, the taste is delicious and they are super friendly!

we ordered 2 sets of meal for take out. Curry lamb was tasty, nice thick sauce. The chicken dinner was good, but wish they undercooked the chicken by a min, just slightly well done on the meat. Impressive on the packaging, Good job !
YL's Curry Bowl is honestly hands down the best Laksa and Hainanese Chicken ever! I always go to them and they never disappoint! Recommend to everyone! 😜🤙🏾🙏🏾
