Kind of expected to see a lot of flowers and big bushes of flowers at the botanical gardens, like the kinds they have at their entrance. At least our $40 was donated to the FN there.

They had a display case about the size of a microwave with a few crusty looking baked goods in it, so "cafe" is a misnomer. In general the entire town (as lovely as it is) severely lacks breakfast joints. Yes, tourists do need to eat, folks.

We visited Darwin’s cafe during a recent visit to Tofino and I was really disappointed. The food options were nonexistent, and the coffee was lacklustre. The botanical garden and grounds where you can sit and have the coffee are cool, but the coffee itself wasn’t great.

Lovely place and staff. The prices are a bit high but you are paying for the experience not just the drink alone. They have little chickens roosters all over the garden and great art work. A lot of attention is paid to details.

I visit Tofino a couple of times a year, and stopping at Darwin's Cafe is always a part of my trip. The botanical gardens are fascinating. The Cafe is beautiful, with an amazing selection of reading material. The Darwin Cafe is a must see for Apes of all ages.I heard they have recently improved the food, I will update my review once I've had a chance to try it! ?
Drinks were pricey. Service wasn't great. We placed an order but a couple of people who came after us got serviced before us (they ordered drinks as well). We reminded them and when we finally got our order, they weren't made correctly. The drinks were good afterwards.
