“This restaurant is far and away our favourite place to eat in Tofino. We come here every single time we visit. In the 5 times we’ve been to Jeju since they opened, our experiences have always been overwhelmingly positive. We came here for the first time less than a month after they opened. The service is always solid, the atmosphere is great, and the food is crazy good especially compared to other places around Tofino which are very touristy and expensive for the quality. They have a wonderful soju/rice wine selection that we enjoy and have solid cocktails. The 45 day aged short rib dinner for 145$ is the best beef in Tofino hands down, not even close. We have had the tomahawk steak from roar and steaks from other spots as well and Jeju is on top. It was perfection down to the bone.”
“The Schooner Restaurant & Lounge was meant for us and the warm welcoming, great atmosphere and top flight service met our every expectation…seafood and steaks were the key features on the menu..the fresh seafood was a top choice for us…and such a delicious dessert…the fresh ingredients were quite evident in our meal….this was our first time here and we definitely will be back on our next visit…”
“The beer is lovely with lots of variety, the seating is generous, and the vibe is as many thirty-year-old West Coast residents as you can fit in a room. Loved it!”
“Delicious, fresh food. great service and quick. Had the triple threat (cod, salmon and pulled pork tacos, 1 of each). all delicious. my husband had b aja burger and fries also delicious.”
“Order the halibut , absolutely the best I have ever had. Price is 27 for 1 piece. I couldn’t finish the whole meal. The coleslaw is also by far the best I have had. The man who cooks the fish, I spoke to after to let him know. He takes great pride in his cooking and cares about the customer. Anytime I come to tofino I will be visiting Big Daddy’s Fish Fry.Several places to sit if you want to dine in. Meal is started as soon as you place your order. You don’t have to wait long at all. As for service , very polite and great personality .”
“We tried a lot of the menu and everything we tried was great but we absolutely loved the mushroom calamari! So amazing to have all vegan place to go and just be able to order anything on the menu. And thanks for having affordable beers and ciders.”
“Best coffee in Tofino, hands-down. Great beans and well prepared. The pastries are very good with the pain au chocolat and lemon slice stars of the show.Vegetarian options: Plenty of options.Dietary restrictions: Vegan and gluten-free options.Parking: Street adjacent was empty.”
“Nice restaurant and delicious meal. Cozy atmosphere! But hey for such a restaurant is a disaster not to accept Amex. That’s the only reason of 4 stars. We’ve been second time here and will consider another one next time. Frustrated :/”
“Of all the meals we had while in Tofino this was by far the best atmosphere, service & food. Definitely a meal all of us will be talking about for ages. From booking a reservation for a big group, to the a rural meal the staff at the Pointe were amazing to deal with. 10/10 would come back!”
“We were looking for Indian food on a quiet February afternoon in Tofino and that’s when we came across this place. We were the only patrons at that time and hesitantly ordered Dal Makhni and Kadhai Paneer. The food was DELICIOUS! Kadhai Paneer was out of this world. The hostess was warm and pleasant. It’s a blessing to have this good Indian food in Tofino. I would highly recommend this place. Do try their Kadhai Paneer!”
“Best coffee shop! We had an Americano and Matcha latte, and both were delicious.I had the polenta breakfast slice, and hubby had the pumpkin loaf. We also purchased a hat and shirt for a reasonable price. Eco friendly.”
“Relaxed with a chai tea latte, watched the waves, browsed through the art. A must do stop for excellent service, outstanding beverages, and a zen like atmosphere.”
“We ordered the Lil' Ronnie's Beachside Bonanza which is $35 a person. It's really good food, no doubt about it. It's expensive for what you get, $25 would be much more reasonable and as others have said the food wasn't hot. We ate at restaurant and the beans and meat were all cool when brought to the table. I have no doubt the food would be stone cold if you did take away. The server was friendly and atmosphere was upbeat, lots of happy eaters. Would we go again, yes likely but we wouldn't get the Beachside Bonanza again, we weren't full after a $80 BBQ meal, which seems pretty crazy.”
“I have been to Roar many times over the years and it’s never once disappointed. I was recently there with my two kiddos celebrating my birthday, the staff helped make it memorable. Thank you for everything ❤️”
“Very nice patio spot to have a bite to eat. Highly recommend getting a sandwich as they were amazing but do not recommend the pizza as it was mediocre. Overall good ”
