Our room vibrated like the Growler Jets leaving Whidbey Island all day and all night. It was constant, never ending. I believe there was a mechanical room on our floor and something was amiss.
There was no one to explain exactly why the room was vibrating because there was no one at the front desk and no one answering the phone for most of the weekend during the evenings.
The toilet paper in the bathrooms is the same quality you will find on BC ferries( if you know, you know).
They do not service their hot tub. There was 6" of putrid foam collecting in the hot tub at all times.
This place is a mess. It's like they made a nice looking throw back space and then walked away like they were done and the place would run itself.
We spent as little time here as the weather would allow.

I had an amazing stay at the Hotel Zed even though the power was out (in all of Tofino) for two days and the roads were closed. They handled the situation well and even had board games in the lounge. The best!!

Nice hotel but the restaurant is understaffed. The front desk said it wasn’t busy for dinner but when we arrived the waitress asked if we had a reservation. We did not but she proceeded to seat us and then we experienced long delays to get our drinks and poorly prepared half cooked pasta and pink burgers. We watched the kitchen staff slamming food together clearly under high stress. The whole production was chaotic and the manager was as frantic as the staff.

Absolutely the best experience available. Came up here for my girlfriend’s birthday and we were met with happy birthday balloons and free chocolate cake. Wes at the front counter was above and beyond, amazing. The zed does an amazing job at hiring the best people. Hayley as an example, at the coffee shop was an absolute ray of sunshine every mornings. It’s all the little things that come together to create the best experience and stay that tofino has to offer in my opinion. You will be more than satisfied with your stay and with the staff at this place I promise you!

The craziest hotel I've seen in my life. Located along the Pacific Rim Hwy towards Tofino, convenient parking, has a surfboard and bicycle rental (be careful: these are bicycles that have no brakes!😂) the official cycle path takes a detour (if you want) in the hotel lobby . Once inside, you'll be transported back to the Seventies. Marvelous! Even the themed rooms. At the reception they gave us a small jar of coffee and one containing milk to make coffee in the room (using the French press); in the lobby, there are many 70s board games, comics of the time (or reproductions thereof). Surprisingly in your room you can find comics on the bedside tables. Do I recommend it? Yes! Really cute. Being beyond the thick forest that separates the ocean road, unfortunately, you don't get any ocean views.

Thank you for the great stay. We come up to Tofino to celebrate my birthday and our anniversary, the weather even cooperated and was bright and sunny. Probably one of the best insulated hotels I've been in, hardly heard a noise the hole time we were in the room, very comfy king bed, loved the rain shower too. And the best part was riding through the hotel on our bikes. Great food at the restaurant and service at the bar with board games and dogs to pat. Would recommend a stay to anyone heading your way.

We had an incredible time at hotel Zed Tofino, celebrating our anniversary and a birthday! We were so impressed with the attention to detail in every aspect of the hotel. From the cosy and relaxing lounge where we played Scrabble and enjoyed a beverage, to the ride through bike path which led us on an incredible cycling adventure, to the delicious dinner at roar, to watching the sunrise from the private dock, to enjoying a sauna and a hot tub after a day of hiking! Hotel Zed Tofino has it all, including groovy decor, a clean facility and exceptional service with friendly accommodating staff in all departments.

Absolutely loved our stay. The place is colorful, fun, and super dog friendly. Staff are kind and efficient. Our rooms were spacious, loved the double shower heads, and the room with the queen bunk bed and skylight is great for families. So many games and comfy seating in the lobby. We enjoyed the bar in the evening and the coffee shop in the morning. Wish we'd had time for the hot tub and sauna

Just to start things off I've was struggle to make a payment with my card because #adjusting. I eventually got it sorted out and before I even payed the very nice lady at the desk offered me a free pastry 🎂! So far off to a good start. After settling in the staff are top tier. Bartender was extremely knowledgeable and professional with a good sense of humor. The pricing is very fair and I would recommend anyone visiting tofino to check out this hotel. I will be back cheers 🍻.
