Roar Live Fire & Grill offers an excellent bar and dining experience, excellent drinks with flexibility on the menu from custom requests, friendly staff and good food a strong recommendation for anyone in the area.

Great ambiance with a lively atmosphere and some excellent scran! Best scotch egg on either side of the pond.

Great coffee and interesting items in the shop! Was a lovely little find on our recent vacation to Tofino. One of the cashiers was also super nice and offered recommendations on places to see around town. Highly recommend!

Came across this little gem of a spot in Tofino and will definitely be coming back on our next visit into town! We both got the two eggs any style and the chef gladly swapped the sausage for a salad upon request. Service was great and atmosphere had a chill eclectic vibe with ample seating.

We had a fabulous breakfast here during our stay in Tofino. We had the ham eggs Benny and the mushroom hash and oh boy was it ever flavourful and quite a generous portion. I’d love to go back and definitely recommend it to anyone passing through. The vibes of the building are also quite neat and vintage which made for a unique experience.

Such a funky spot. Great coffee and pastries. Staff are super kind and inclusive. Ask about the hidden room behind the bookshelf.

We purchased lattes and croissants. Absolutely incredible. Friendly and quick service. Loved the vibe. Thank you Roar, we’ll be back.

Probably the slowest and most inconvenient coffee shop that I’ve ever gone to. A simple drip coffee can take up to 40 minutes to get. The female behind the counter with blonde hair has no sense of how to manage her time with clearly no accountability from a management perspective. People who value their time, beware.

tipsy lad

Pretty decent place but service for mornings take a long time, around 45+ mins for food so maybe take that into account.
Food was decent but the spuds were not spuds, they were more like fries.
Slightly pricey but overall pretty average price for the area.

Stopped here for breakfast on a rainy day in Tofino! We were greeted with a warm smile and our server was such a delight. Food was good, and coffee was great! Get the chicken and waffle…yum!!!

Took a little long to get our food but maybe we’re use to fast pace life in the big city;)

We stopped at ROAR coffee shop and had a blueberry scone and a couple of oat lattes on a recent trip to Tofino. Excellent food and service and the lobby of the Hotel Zed had a cozy retro sunken living room vibe. Well done!

Vegetarian options: Anything without meat ;)

Small coffee shop in the hotel Zed complex. It's worth stopping by just for the ambience of the coolest hotel in Tofino.

I have been to Roar many times over the years and it’s never once disappointed. I was recently there with my two kiddos celebrating my birthday, the staff helped make it memorable. Thank you for everything ❤️
