We were connected with the Taste of Tofino (Lil’ Ronnie’s BBQ) through our wedding coordinator and we were truly blown away!! I don’t even know if I have the right words to describe how awesome our experience was working with Ronnie.
Ronnie was so wonderful to communicate with, and he was willing to work with our budget and our vision. With his help, we were able to create a menu that would cater to all our guests, and still incorporate some of our favorites!
Our guests are absolutely raving about all the appetizers and of course the main meal even days after our wedding. We went with the Salmon Gravlax, Roasted Red Pepper Croquettes, and Burnt End Lettuce wraps for our appetizers. They were absolutely delicious, and we couldn’t get enough.
We chose the BBQ menu for our main meal and it did not disappoint! The brisket and the chicken were tender and flavorful, and the sides of Mac n’ cheese, beans, and salad were the perfect compliment.
We are so grateful to Ronnie, and we were so impressed with everything. We appreciate not only his culinary talent, but also how kind he is!

Super cute Reno on the airstream. It had everything we needed with an awesome bathroom and very comfortable bed. We slept great. And the minute walk to the beautiful beach was the icing on the cake. Also enjoyed the BBQ restarting on site with wonderful live entertainment. We had a great stay.

So MacKenzie Beach Resort has a variety of accommodation options and the one we booked was for a RV. Unfortunately all RV spots are located along a busy dirt road which makes it noisy and very dusty. The rest of this resort seems fine and clean and the staff very helpful. They need to have the access road paved as well as the entrance to the resort itself, which is supposed to happen within a year (in 2024). The beach is nice and shared with other Resorts nearby. I will have to wash my RV carefully when I get back home because it got tons of dust on it.

My family and I stayed at the resort for one night. The airstrem assigned to us had a tech issue. Management was available and tried to solve it immediately. Once the staff realized the service offered was not at the level desired, they fully refunded the cost of the night. We appreciated their work ethic.

My daughter was married on the beach of McKenzie Beach Resort and it was absolutely amazing. The cabins, airstreams and other suites were perfect for guests and allowed us to stay altogether and enjoy what the resort had to offer. We stayed in the three bedroom oceanfront cabin and it had everything we needed. Absolutely loved having the BBQ and hot tub. Cody and team were very accommodating throughout the weekend and made sure my daughter’s day went just as planned. Food from Ronnie’s was amazing and the wedding guests are still talking about it. A wedding planner was included in the wedding venue and I cannot say enough of Zoe and Sheila. As the mother of the bride, they made my life as stress free as possible. If a beach wedding in Tofino is what you are looking for, then hands down you have to have it at McKenzie Beach Resort.

The staff was amazing, the container cubes are the cutest and so comfy. Hwy 4 was closed. So we got a discount as port Alberni-ites, thank you so ? much We haven’t been able to afford Tofino for some years so this was a treat!

Amenities like E-Bikes to rent, beautiful suana on the beach and hot coffee in the morning were easy to access and the staff were so helpful! We also had a lovely fire right on the beach. Cody is amazing and we will be back! Don't forget to try Ronnie's BBQ too!

Amazing! We stayed in one of the 2 bedroom cabins with the newly renovated decks. The cabin was super clean and well stocked. Lots of really cool features to make our stay unique and memorable (wood burning stove, gas bbq and firepit on the deck). The view of the ocean from the Cedar Barrel hot tub on the deck was primo! Will definitely be back again. Mackenzie Beach Resort is a gem in Tofino!

I was able to get a few hours of work done in the common area at the main building. Seems like the place to be in Tofino!

Awesome place. We had an amazing time in the airstreams. Central location to the beaches. Great little coffee shop/general store and happy, helpful staff always ready to help. We loved the vibe of each airstream and being right in the heart of everything. Could not recommend more highly.

Taste of Tofino went above and beyond for my elopement dinner. The original dinner we planned was cancelled just days before and Ronnie was able to easily organize a several course meal with almost no notice. He was so friendly and helpful leading up to the event and his chefs, Raph and Dylan, cooked an incredible meal for us in the middle of a snowstorm despite intermittent power outages! The food was absolutely excellent, the service was amazing. I would recommend these guys to anyone looking for five star service!!
