Waitress Christy was not only professional but also a joy to be around. The food was absolutely delicious: the oysters were incredibly fresh, the mussels were creatively prepared, the lamb linguine was mouthwatering, and the lemon tart is a must-try. Would definitely return!

Shocking service. If you’re in the mood for a second drink be prepared to be disappointed as they won’t come by to check in. Fries had so much salt it felt like they were dipped in the ocean. Atmosphere was nice though. The chicken burger was falling apart, sometimes less is more.

We spent 3 nights in Tofino on our 21 night road trip of BC and on the last night went to this restaurant, it was our third choice in restaurants having spent the 2 previous evenings at the Wolf and Hog and The Pointe.
The Bear Bierhaus & Courtyard was by far our favourite out of the three in all areas (even if it was our third choice when we planned the trip). The food was not only better but also cheaper, the atmosphere was relaxed and the wait staff were very friendly. The hostess (Amelia) in particular was attentive and professional whilst putting people at ease. While we were there several other groups came in trying to get tables but couldn’t so I would suggest booking in advance. The 40 layer lasagne is a rich and delicious treat and the oysters were fresh and tasty - both my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit and this (along with our whale watching trip) will remain the highlight of our stay!

A great lunch stop. Loved the Schnitzel sandwich with fries. And sitting in the courtyard was very comfortable and relaxing.

A very fine place regarding both atmosphere and food. The burger was the best and the same was the seafood platter. The service was ok but no knowledge of wine and no wines (sweet, port) for the dessert.

Loved this place. There's lots of spots that have great reviews, and we were disappointed, but BEAR hit the spot. We were hungry and over ordered, and I liked everything. Wife got the eggplant schnitzel: Yum. I got the wings, salad, and tuna roll: yum, yum, and yum.

This place is amazing. Very lovely dining room with a laid back kinda vibe. And the food! My friend and I were just blown away by the flavours of both the seafood and the other dishes. Friendly staff too. Overall, 10/10 would recommend!
