My husband and I were so pleased with our experience here. Beautiful rooms, lobby, cafe restaurant, and just our kind of bar. It was hard to leave. Our server Emily in the restaurant was amazing, as was all of the staff we came across. Look forward to finding my way back there. I miss it already.
The atmosphere at the MAQ is so unique and vibey. What other hotel offers live music, an outdoor beer garden, on site restaurant, oyster bar, and downstairs club/liquor store?! The rooms are super cute and quaint with everything you could need. The MAQ has the vibe of a hostel but the esthetics of a fancy hotel. We highly recommend staying here or at the very least coming for a patio cocktail when you are in Tofino.

Hotel is nice looking but needs to decide if it’s a nightclub or a hotel …. Showed up and the hotel was shaking from music being incredibly loud for a country music night …. They were charging cover to kids who wanted to party in the lounge and the rooms are small and the only comfortable place to hang out is the lobby but not relaxing with a bunch of partying kids …. TV wasn’t working or the fan and the concierge leaves at 9 …. So getting a hold of anyone is impossible….....read full review
