Great place! Just fyi not all ingredients are completely mentioned in the Manu. But if you let them know that you vegan they can help you figuring out what is vegan or can be veganised.

We were excited to try sushi in Tofino, however the quality of sushi rolls were mediocre. There was way too much rice and you can tell that they are very cheap with ingredients in the rolls (whether it’s fish which I get is expensive, but also cucumber, avocado etc). Making us to pretty much to fill up on rice. Rolls were loosely wrapped, and rice wasn’t too sticky, leading to pieces falling apart when we tried to pick them up with chopsticks. This tells me that who ever made them is not a professional and lacks experience in this area. On a positive note, the fish was fresh, service was good and the views are amazing. I don’t mind paying higher prices for good quality sushi, however this wasn’t the case.

Good basic sushi, amazing location and water views . Eclectic aesthetics were also really fun (there’s even fun decor on the ceiling !) and service was pretty attentive

Was served flat pop. Canned mushrooms and spinach in a yam tempura roll. And an ‘off’ spicy cali roll. No discount. But the owner tried it and said it was great. I guess they know better than their patrons. Nasty.

We enjoyed an exquisite view overlooking the harbor/ocean. The food, drinks, and service were exceptional, earning a solid 10/10. However, what truly stole the show was the unparalleled atmosphere and breathtaking view—the best I've ever experienced in my life. A truly unforgettable experience, especially for tourists

Don’t understand the ambivalent reviews. We had an amazing dinner here, with great service and awesome quality of food. You don’t get the usual standard sushi with cultivated salmon (that is also very tasty), but with regional and fresh fish. It was a nice experience to eat the local fish on the sashimi platter and the oysters Japanese style were great! If you are looking for some good sushi, that has a slightly special, Vancouver Island twist, this is the right place for you.

Phenomenal Exoerience! On a whim, I chose to head into Tuff City Sushi for dinner upon completion of a training course. It was a tough toss-up between watching Stanley Cup Final Game 5 or having a nice dinner. And although I am certain that It would have been brilliant to spectate the intense hockey matchup, I am certain that I made the right choice in dining out instead!

From the outset, I was made to feel very welcome by Tabitha who greeted me at the door and who immediately made me feel at home. She led me to a table on the terrasse which boasted an absolutely GLORIOUS view of the water and of the mountains.

The menu has ample options to choose from. Tabitha, who also ended up being the server who took care of me demonstrated exceptional product knowledge and I felt extremely confident in accepting her recommendations.

The food was presented in a very timely manner and expertly crafted and prepared by the gregarious chefs who had also offered a warm welcome when i initially entered the dining room. The portions were very generous and the quality and freshness of the product were fist-class.

Tabitha was extremely attentive and made regular appearances at my table to ensure that I was having a perfect experience. Her actions and her words made me feel valued. She even anticipated my needs and brought me a blanket and tried to show this helpless character how to use chopsticks. Still I ended up needing a fork but that was my fault rather than hers!

The views from the patio are spectacular! It all came together: food, service, and ambience. I would assign a score of 10/10 to this place without reservation. Thank you, Tabitha and your crew!

Sushi was good, the cucumbers tasted really old and that ruined some of the sushi for me. The salmon and tuna were incredibly fresh but the tuna was close to frozen with how cold it was. My wife didn’t mind but I didn’t enjoy the tuna as much.

The environment is beautiful. As for the food, if you have an Asian stomach, don’t expect too much. The miso soup is okay, quite satisfactory, there are not many varieties of sashimi, and the ingredients are fresh...
