Came to Tofino on vacation, did some research and decided to get dinner from Wildside Grill. Checked the hours and it said they were open until 8pm. We even looked at the menu and decided what we would order... drove to the location and there was a lighted sign with the hours (confirming that they're open every day 11am-8pm), and this was a Sunday around 5... but there was a cardboard box with the words scrawled on it to inform prospective customers that they're closed until Feb 15!? Very disappointing and unprofessional.

Wildside Grill in Tofino is an absolute gem! From the moment we arrived, the laid-back, west coast vibe set the tone for an amazing meal. The seafood is incredibly fresh – the fish tacos were perfectly seasoned, and the fish & chips were cooked to perfection. Moreover, I loved the crispiness of Korean chicken, too.
The menu has a great variety, catering to both seafood lovers and those looking for other delicious options. The portions are generous, and everything is packed with flavor. The staff was friendly and efficient.
The outdoor seating adds to the charm, making it a perfect spot to enjoy great food in the heart of Tofino. If you’re visiting the area, Wildside Grill is a must-try. Can’t wait to come back!

Wildside is a gem amongst the pod of food trucks and shops. Often less busy than other spots in this area, service was super quick and their menu has extensive vegetarian options.
I ordered their salmon burger and it was fresh and perfectly cooked. Their fries are also the extra crispy, double dipped kind - The best kind!

I discovered Wildside Grill years ago when the Tacofino line-up was way too long. Located next to Beaches Grocery, they are an excellent alternative using local seafood for great fish and chips, creamy chowder, tuna and salmon. Oh, and keep your eyes on your fries because the crows are very aggressive!

During our Thanksgiving long weekend retreat to Chesterman Beach, we stumbled upon Wildside Grill on our way back and it turned out to be an absolute delight. I’m usually indifferent to fish and chips, but anything involving Salmon instantly wins me over and this hidden gem took that love to a whole new level.
As soon as we stepped inside, the intoxicating aroma from the kitchen made it clear that we had chosen the right place. I ordered the Salmon with chips and Salmon tacos and let me tell you this was hands down the best fish and chips I've ever had in my entire life. The fish was cooked to perfection, with a generous portion that was complemented by a mountain of crispy golden chips. The salmon tacos were just as incredible; packed with fresh flavors and a surprisingly large, juicy piece of fish.
The tartar sauce deserves special mention. You can taste the chef's skill in every bite as it brought out the perfect balance of tang and creaminess. Every element of the meal had the perfect texture and the flavors were on point.
Not only was the food top notch, but the prices were also impressively reasonable, especially given the generous portions and of course the atmosphere.
If you find yourself in Tofino, Wildside Grill is a must visit spot. Highly recommending …
