Flaca’s Tacos opens each April, closing in October, as can be the case with a number of eateries in the ocean village of Ucluelet — known to locals affectionally as Ukee — when summer visitors take off for home. As April draws close many of its loyal local customers start lining up in their minds for a taste of Flaca’s Tacos tasty tacos, as well as its delicious hibiscus ice tea. I am one of Ukee’s residents eagerly awaiting being able to eat & drink again from the food truck. It also has a great well- priced kids’ menu, which draws the younger crowd. It makes hot sauces customers can pick up to take with them when contemplating Mexican flavors at home. Is owner, Robyn, is a delight, making customers welcome, as well as looked after on the culinary front. Flaca’s Tacos is conveniently located in the ocean village — a stunning spot on the West Coast of Vancouver Island — witth a solid line up for its offerings for the seven months it is open for the year. Oh booy, oh boooy. Hear me out ! ! ! I've been trying hard to search for a perceft taco experience in Canada, USA ( mostly California ) and Europe. But oh boy, it is a mission impossible. Ever since I tasted Flaca's fish taco and Carnitas, I just did not have luck to try anything better. ANYTHING! Oh boy, if you are in Ucluelet , or even if you are not - go , go , go don't even hesitate. It's been a half year since I had it last time, but this is something you never forger. It is a impossible culinary experience in a simple taco truck. Life is complicated - taco is simple. Make your life simple yet extraordinary as Flaca's Taco. Good job Flaca ! The Best Tacos I have had in all of BC. I had them near closing, and my wife and I liked them so much we waited around for 2hrs for them to open so we could get it again before our return journey!!!
