Unique restaurant on the water. The food was delicious and sitting on the water was quite special. Would be nice to have a better view of the ocean, but understand that it's not feasible for everyone to have a spectacular view. There was quite a bit of a wait to be seated, but service was good and the food was tasty.

Quirky floating restaurant in Ucluelet on the harbour. Opened at 12:30 and already a dozen people ahead of us. Picked the seafood chowder and the king prawns in white wine and garlic. Quite a few things on the menu I would have also picked. Prompt service and food and drinks arrived quickly. Really enjoyed the place.

We had an excellent meal here in the Ucluelet harbour. The restaurant was very popular but we didn't have to wait long for an outside table. I had the tasty salmon (see photo) and my wife enjoyed the blackened rockfish with mango. Great service and choice of craft beers. .

You have to try the fish chowder… to die for! Everything we had was great! We watched in amazement of how the staff worked as a team from serving to cleaning. You can tell they really get along. A shout out to Lisa our server!

We came here on the recommendation of a friend. When we arrived (without a reservation) there was already a large crowd. We were told that the waiting time was about an hour and that we could still take a short walk. We were put on the list and when we came back a little later we were taken directly to a free seat. The service was quick and very courteous, and also made individual side dish recommendations for each dish. For intolerances such as coeliac disease (at the table next to us), the waiter had dishes or possible alternatives ready without hesitation.
The food was very tasty, the view was beautiful and it was impressive how the high volume of guests was managed with the few seats. We would love to come back.

Dietary restrictions: Celiac friendly (from what we noticed)

The floathouse is a uculet staple.. it's been around forever.. it's in the Harbour with great views and an amazing searing outside. We have been coming to uculet for 11 years and each year eat here. This year the atmosphere was again awesome. We sat at the bar top outside. However the food was we thought sub par. The chowder was amazing..* it is very good, but the rest of the food was just ok. In the past the food has been really good, but this time it was not hot nor tasted fresh. For the price, we expect more.

The service was amazing as usual, and the servers were super friendly and very fast with checking to see how things are..

Hopefully next year it's a better experience....

We showed up at around 6 pm on a nice day and it was packed. But we got a table pretty soon as we didn't care to sit outside to enjoy the view like others. The service team was great! You were able to tell, everyone was working hard but still being positive. Sorry, my pictures don't do the food justice as the lighting inside wasn't good. We were to order Calamari but changed our mind when we heard the mussels are on special. I am so glad we did as these were excellent!! I ordered the Lemon Dill Rockfish and my boyfriend had the Blackened Rockfish, both dishes were quite tasty. We then ordered some dessert (mouse and cheese cake) to take home/campground as we were so stuffed. I would totally recommend this place go back any time if I would live closer.

We arrived quite late but the place was still full of people. Staff was kind in explaining their menu and specials. We picked the fish and chips and the grilled salmon, both delicious! Atmosphere authentic and warm.

Best fish and chips I've ever had. We ordered the Clam Chowder which was thick and flavorful with pieces of meat you could actually see and taste. The fish and chips were the proper size you would expect and it wasn't greasy at all, the prawns were to die for with the white wine sauce.
Every single bite was rich with flavor and the ambiance is very enjoyable.
Our server Mustafa walked us through the dish so we could appreciate more what was happening behind-the-scenes in the kitchen. Prices are fair
THIS IS WORTH A DETOUR ?
