Waited over 10 minutes to be seated no one came. Watched 8 other potential customers just walk away because there was no one to help them. Unable to find any staff

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
An absolute must-stop in Ucluelet!

We stumbled across Ukee Dogs while exploring Ucluelet and couldn’t have been happier we did. The vibe here is super chill — a funky mix of laid-back west coast energy and fun, eclectic decor. The patio is bright and colourful, complete with covered seating, making it a perfect place to relax, grab a bite, and soak in the atmosphere.

We tried a few different dogs, and every one of them hit the spot. The Ukee Dog — a chili cheese dog — was loaded with flavour and super satisfying. The Spicy Mexican Dog had just the right amount of heat, topped with fresh pico and a drizzle of creamy sauce. Both were creative, well-balanced, and totally crave-worthy. Fries were hot, crispy, and generously portioned — the kind you keep snacking on even when you say you’re full. Bonus: they’ve got local beers on tap, which made the whole experience even better.

The staff were friendly and welcoming, and service was quick even though it was busy. We also loved how dog-friendly the place was — we had our pup with us, and he was treated like a guest too.

Whether you’re just passing through or staying in Ukee for a while, make sure to swing by Ukee Dogs. It’s got great food, awesome vibes, and that perfect west coast charm. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town!

Second time eating. Tocos and then burrito. Top notch and really good. Thanks.

We had some high hopes for tacos at a so called Mexican establishment.

Our server brought us a pitcher of beer, but then we were wondering how we were supposed to drink it, because she didnt give us cups for about 5-10minutes.

My shrimp tacos didnt taste like much and they were small, the veggies came on the side too rather than on top?

Maybe i should have got the plain hot dog like my buddy did, i might have left more satisfied.

Terrible experience. The girl with the awfully dyed colourful long hair was unwelcoming, lacked the ability to take an order in a timely manner. Would not allow us to order directly at the bar, even though she would not come to the table. In the end we decided to leave without ordering as she made no effort to do her job. Will be sure to never return or recommend this spot to others.

We’ve been in Ucluelet for five days, how did we miss this spot until now!! Started with some hard tea, perfect for a rainy day. I had the Korean dog…delish! Their kimchee is awesome. Hubby had the whole hog and another win. Great little place to stop.

Should have read other reviews first as the server with the pink hair was more than unfriendly, bordering on rude. Considering the other poor reviews based on her lack of warmth and courteousness, she must either be the owner or related to the owner. From the moment we walked in, we were greeting with indifference bordering on hostility. She tells us to grab menus at the counter so we assume we order there. Nope. She tells us to just sit down. Any additional requests from us - like for ketchup or mustard - seemed to be one request too much for her. Meanwhile, based on the noise, someone seems to be doing some serious renos in the kitchen. Like seriously…do that when there are no customers. Food was okay but would have preferred a grilled dog vs steamed. The fries, however, were great. I only ate half my hotdog, which also seemed to be an issue for our server when she came to check on us she quite rudely asked if everything was okay. I felt like she was waiting for me to explain or apologize for not eating the whole dog. I thought she just hated me for some reason but when hubby asked if we paid at the counter she mumbled that she would bring over the machine but seemed annoyed she had to stop with her “art project” strewn across the counter.

Stopped to order a coffee and the waitress made me feel unwelcomed, seemed like I was disturbing her trying to order something

Stopped here for lunch/dinned on my way to tofino after a very long drive. Was craving french fries and they delivered! I had the poutine; fries were perfect, put plenty of cheese curds, and gravy was veggi and gluten free! My Mom whos been a chef for 30 years, got the tuna tacos, and said they were the best tacos shes ever had! Her friend (vegan) got a veggi chili dog, and was very satisfied aswell! Very small place but definately stop there if you are able! Worth the 5 hour drive!

In town for a stay cation , prefer to skip the busy season , and wanted a ukee dog. The lady with pink hair working the front was very rude , told me she hates when customers ask for recommendations after I asked which hot dog was most loved …? Seemed like she did not want us to be there, we were interrupting her working on her crafts that were sprawled across the front counter. We ended up ordering two hot dogs which somehow took over 30 minutes to make . I come to Ukee at least once a year but will not be coming back to Ukee dog. Lots of other options around with nice staff.

It was a fun winter stop. The food was really nice. Staff was responsive and the bathroom was serviceable.

Vegetarian options: Veggie dogs and veg tacos had enticing choices. We liked the burrito a lot!

Dietary restrictions: They were able to accommodate extreme celiac sensitivity.

Parking: In the same lot as another business but is separate.

Kid-friendliness: Families would enjoy this place.

Wheelchair accessibility: Possible but not easy.

The food was alright, but they were out of half the ingredients on the menu. The atmosphere was dirty as there was fruit flies everywhere, a literal booger on the table, and the were black chunkies in my glass of water. The service was horrible as the server did not clean any of the tables in between customers and she hid in the back when there was a line up. 5$ for a cold mocha that tasted like dirt. This place used to be really good but has definitely gone down hill. Shoutout to the chef as he was running around actually trying , but the fact they only had half the ingredients on the menu and they changed the portion size from the previous time we were here resulted in the food being 2/5.

I’ll just get straight to the point
Sliders were half the size they were a year ago.
We’re out of Mac and cheese.
Only enough buns for one of us to get sliders.
Waitress had her earbuds in and was on here phone sitting in a booth.
The glasses were not clean there was little black bit at the bottom of mine and my friends water glasses.
Took forever just to get the bill.
If the food was cheaper and the place was cleaner I’d eat here again but until then don’t even bother

Went the first night (lights on, door open, 40 mins left til advertised closing) was told ‘sorry we’re closed) That tracked with the poor service reviews we read. So we went next door to Frankie’s (so good). BUT we gave them another chance a couple nights later and it was GReAT! Service was prompt and friendly, atmosphere is ‘hot dog beach shack’. Shared two different dogs, the chili and fries. All was delicious!! Especially the fries which kind of surprised us. Great options and fun food without a massive hit to the wallet. The people next to us had the chili/cheese fries and I regret not getting that. So, I guess it’s hit or miss here - it was November in Ucluelet so I guess they just close if it’s not busy, staffing might be an issue. Anyhow, they redeemed themselves. We’ll be back!
