Recommend the milky durian soupppp 🤌🏻

We ordered the black sesame paste with soft milk mochi which was very aromatic, extremely smooth texture with no trace of grainy sesame and a moderate sweetness level. We also ordered the steamed milk egg pudding with peach gum. I liked the deep rich egg flavor in the pudding. Both orders arrived promptly and I went on a Sunday evening

Plenty of seating for larger groups, clean white marble top tables, nice and quiet. The service was a bit gruff. Not sure if the server spoke much English? The food tasted good, but could benefit from improvement in the presentation.

Our favourite was the mango pomelo sago with jelly. There were large luscious chunks of pink pomelo, mango was a bit sour (but what do you expect in Feb when mango is not in season?) Sago and jelly had great texture.

The black sesame soup was warm and thick with lots of gooey mochi in the center, but it was a small portion for the price and easy to make at home.

The matcha pudding was recommended on the menu. The pudding had a nice flavour, but the portion seemed small for the price and the fruits served alongside were pretty basic: apples, mango and strawberry. I feel for the price, they could have cut the fruit in decorative shapes, or provided a small portion of fancy fruits (dragon fruit, berries or starfruit) instead of basic apples that are 99 cents / lb? It tasted and looked like something I would throw together at home. Perhaps if they used more a decorative mold for the matcha pudding (which actually tasted nice). With competitors that focus on presentation, they could learn from others and provide a better experience without much extra cost.

Service is nonexistent. Waited at the front door questioning the Matcha Corner branding. Gave up waiting and grabbed my own menus and sat ourselves. Place was not busy at all, near empty. Had to go around back to wave down someone to take my order. Was a long wait especially since a group of people came in ordering matcha drinks and were served before us. When the desserts finally came we took one bite of each dessert and left. It was terrible. The milk pudding sticks to your mouth like school glue and the peach jelly was hard and inedible. There is absolutely no reason to come here when Desserts Artisanaux is 7 min away, is cheaper and the desserts are exceptional.

One star is required to make a review. Ginger milk is not supposed to be watery but similar to a paste. Can’t believe they allowed this to be sent out. Drink milk and nothing else. Walnut paste is stale and gone bad. Tofu pudding is mushy and has a weird taste. Had to wait 45 min for these. First time to visit and will never go back!

Not worth it. Also they’re a straight up copy of bao buns. Refuse to credit or change the name of their product. How is such a business still open??

I went with my wife and two young kids. Some of the ingredients are new to us and intimidating. We went for dessert, and they were delicious, absolutely mouth-watering. We finished up to the last spoon.

Great spot! honestly puzzled by some of the negative reviews. Feels like a smear campaign or something?... The Cantonese desserts here are delicious and authentic. Presentation might not always be picture-perfect, but the flavours are there. favorites: the almond paste, pistachio paste, mango sago, and black sesame. Haven't tried the matcha stuff but everything else was spot on.
If you're craving classic Cantonese sweets, this place delivers.
