I work very late and sometimes come here for a snack after my shif5... it's definitely the best place downtown during the asinine hours of the night. Food never disappoints and the staff are always super sweet to me and helpful. I know how tough it is to work overnight shifts, especially in such busy areas, but they handle it well and are very communicative.

Normally I don’t think a chain like A&W deserves my time reviewing but this location’s chicken wraps are the freshest I’ve had. Melt in your mouth good. And the guy who served me today (around 4pm?) was really nice, courteous and seemed to value me as a customer (not on autopilot like most fast food chain staff I’d encounter on a normal basis). Definitely gonna go out of my way to come to this location again.

Workers are not accodmating for people who have suffered a stroke or or some sort of TBI such as myself who can't read, write or explain things easily without some sort of assistance. Usually when I order from places most people understand English well enough to take my order without confusing me.
I walked in with my child and ordered a kids buddy burger with cheese meal, I asked for chocolate milk at the drink. When the order came I was given just a normal adult buddy burger with cheese, no fries and the chocolate milk on the side. I can't read the orders on the screen without assistance. My kid can't read yet. So I was charged for the chocolate milk and buddy burger only. So I asked for a refund on those items and just be charged for the kids meal as a whole as I didn't need another drink. Just a KIDS BUDDY BURGER AND SMALL FRIES. The worker could not understand what I was saying, no matter how many times I tried to explain. She kept on asking me totally different things. I explained it 5 times and the worker still couldn't understand what I was asking........................... whoever was working cashier tonight can't even understand oder directions.

Nice burgers with a couple of vegetarian options available. The beyond meat burger is their classic and I was told that peri peri burger is also vegetarian. Currently, they're also having a limited edition masala veggie burger. Cooking time seems a little slower, compared to other burger joints.

If I could give the service less stars I would. Stopped here on our way back to the ferry. We were hassled by a homeless lady outside .. twice. Not the worst part though. We could see the staff from the road laying on the counters talking. We decide to go in and the garbage was overflowing, the tables were dirty and the staff just stared at us instead of saying anything. We approached the counter to order, still no hello. Ordered our food and they seemed annoyed we wanted to stay in to eat. My husband tried to use the washroom but it “didn’t work” after she tried the lock a few times. We receive our food and the fries were clearly old. Stale and hard. Hardly warm. I ordered a bacon and egged and there was less than 1 peice of bacon on it and then I bit into something super hard I thought I broke my tooth 😬 super disappointed in this location. There was no one else on the restaurant. Spend that time at minimum emptying the garbage.

So I walked in here and it's about 10:30 on a Friday night and I literally walked in the front door and it smells like piss they need to shut this A&W down
I am disappointed in this A&W. I love A&W, but this location is horrible. The harsh browns were greasy and tasted like months' old oil, so disgusting. And the sandwich was slapped together which completely came apart in the bag, not to mention the horrible taste. Had I known, I would have never set foot in this location. It has almost ruined A&W for me. The place also smelled really dirty as soon as I walked through the doors. This location needs to either clean up their act of shut down.
