Meh! Food was just ok and the service was super slow. $55 for two people I don’t think we ever go again!

We spent a week in the Blue Horizon hotel which is along side Abode. We had breakfast every morning except one. The quality of food, the service from the staff was superb. Everything we tried on the menu was delicious and would set you up for the day. I have to mention the lovely salad and the dressing - perfect.
Thank you.

I’m a Celiac and have visited Abode numerous times and have never had an issue, if anything is a problem is that they have so many options!
Make sure to let the server know if you have any dietary requirements and they will make sure everything is perfect for you.
I have to thank Marianne for her amazing service as always!
I look forward to dining with you again!

Thank you Haley for making our lunch such a lovely experience. You were so kind and I appreciated your attentiveness. Especially as we are visiting the city. A little attention goes a long way. You're awesome at what you do!

Stopped in for breakfast and left with a full heart (and stomach). I can recommend the planted breakfast bowl it is amazing! The food was delicious—simple, fresh, and comforting—but what really made the experience special was the service. Amelie was absolutely wonderful: warm, welcoming, and attentive in a way that just made the whole place feel good. It’s rare to find service that feels this genuine. Thank you Amelie for your great service!

PRO'S: Sunday Brunch at ABODE in Blue Horizon Hotel is a treat. Open only for breakfast & lunch. She had Huevos Rancheros & I had the Two eggs, bacon & toast breakfast.
CON'S: None
SUMMARY: ABODE Restaurant is a good breakfast & lunch place if you're in the area near the Blue Horizon Hotel.

Our server Hayley was the best! We unknowingly came in right before closing and she was super accommodating and kind. Amazing customer service! The food was also delicious. We had a great experience and it’s also really convenient since it’s right next to Blue Horizon.

Unwelcoming and disappointing – not dog-friendly and poor customer service.
My sister and I stopped by Coffee Abode yesterday morning while walking our dog. The café looks modern and stylish, but the service was surprisingly cold and lacking in basic hospitality.
There was no sign saying dogs weren’t allowed, but based on our recent experiences in Vancouver, we assumed they probably weren’t welcome indoors. So we planned for one of us to go inside and order, while the other stayed with our dog in the outdoor seating area.
Before we could do that, a staff member came out and told us that dogs weren’t allowed even in the outdoor area. That was already disappointing, but we decided to just get takeout and wait on the sidewalk. To our surprise, the staff member told us that wasn’t allowed either — even though the sidewalk is public space and not part of the café.
The whole experience left us feeling very unwelcome. Vancouver has been unexpectedly unfriendly to dogs overall, which doesn’t match the warm, kind image many people associate with Canada. Compared to where we live near Seattle, it felt like a big step backward — in Washington, dogs are generally welcome in outdoor spaces unless clearly stated otherwise, and staff are usually courteous and respectful when explaining rules.
At Coffee Abode, despite the trendy look, the service felt rigid and impersonal — definitely not a place we’d return to.

Food was fantastic. I travel a lot for work and always order the same breakfast. This was one of the best.
However that was overshadowed when a homeless man walked up, screamed at me, and threw one of the restaurant's plants at me. The staff didn't do anything and still charged me for the meal. I feel they should have comped. While not their fault, they offer outdoor seating in an unsafe area, which is their choice. I also noticed most places in Vancouver have security, even coffee and donut shops. Abode should do the same.
We went for a quick breakfast. The food was delicious and we enjoyed the lovely atmosphere and kind waitress.
