Small local Japanese restaurant located in Kerrisdale. The fish is fresh and execution is on point at Sushi Bar Ajisai.
We enjoy the assorted sushi platters subbing out the unagi for a scallop.
My favourite bite was the fresh ebi - shrimp.
This is a first come first serve venue.
Staff is courteous, attentive and welcoming.

Wonderful off the track Japanese restaurant. Limited seating so I thought the 4 of us would have a long wait, but we opted for the sushi bar and had the best experience since Japan in Santiago, Chile. The chefs busy at the bar answered our several questions and recommended and prepared excellent dishes - seared mackerel box sushi was my favourite of the night.

The food was very good, lots of vegetarian options which is nice to see. Large menu - all made fresh. We sat at the bar and watched the sushi chefs at work. Felt like a true authentic Japanese...
