Went on a Wednesday so not very busy. It was OK but the manager was really harsh on his staff, without a proper reason

We came here for a pride celebration and everything was top notch! Our server was fantastic friendly, attentive, and made us feel really looked after. The squash tacos were soooo good (seriously, order them!) and the margaritas were on another level.
The owner, Mansour (though we kept joking he should be called Man-Sweet because he’s not sour at all), gave us so much attention throughout the night. He made us feel so welcome and clearly cares about his guests it’s easy to see why this place is so loved. We really appreciate restaurants that are openly inclusive and supportive of the LGBTQ+ community.
Not to overstep, but it honestly felt like if we had invited him to our “after party,” he might have left the restaurant without even locking the door! Let’s just say I left wishing he was on the menu 😉.
We’ll definitely be back highly recommended!

Great place for locals in Railtown and Gastown away from the meelee of suburbanites for tasty appetizers and drinks 🍸 anytime. Happy Hour is daily. Decor and atmosphere is catered to the arts and music.

Pretty dang bad.
Our food was south of mediocre, and our bill was $100 for two sandwiches and two beers.
Service was frankly strange, and every interaction left us confused. Would discourage anyone from going here.

Great venue close to Gastown but just off the beaten path. Nice area that is very safe even though the DTES is not far away
Had a great party downstairs which was private and had bar/ food service
Perfect for parties and for an evening out . Close to downtown scene so you can include this place in your venue hopping tour, your one place night out, party etc.
Lighting is perfect- romantic and sets the tone . I like the slightly darker lighting to hide my imperfections LOL

*** NEW OWNERSHIP !!! Unfortunately this bar used to be a beautiful & unique place to find an amazing selection of rotating craft beer & cocktails. You could tell there was a dedication to the vibe & drink selection. Over the past year they have clearly changed ownership & entirely lost its charm. Nothing special compared to any other bar in the city. Lighting is different, music is tacky & loud, food & cocktails are average, & they were out of FIVE different beers when we came in. Feeling sad & disappointed. Unfortunately won’t be back :(
Iconic watering hole for beer lovers particularly. Would be revisiting every time whenever I am in the city.

Only 1 cider option :(
The original Alibi Room was an institution. The first time it was sold/bought, it still preserved its essence. The most recent owner has run its reputation and quality into the ground. It’s a shell of what it used to be and that’s very sad.
Do not go here, the bar steals from you. We went at 9:30 pm on a Friday night and ordered two drinks for $9 each. The bartender charged us $27 and when I insisted that didn’t make sense he refused to refund me or change the bill, saying I had agreed to pay extra to be in the bar.
It was a private do ..the drinks service was so slow and our vouchers were only for alcohol..you had to pay for soft drinks..but the venue is lovely and I'm sure on a normal night it is fabulous

My friend and I both received beers that were slightly warm. Left after only one beer. Staff was friendly though.
