We typically enjoy going to Analog however today’s experience in Mahogany was a little disappointing. My wife wanted a decaf coffee and was offered an espresso or an Americano. We asked which one was the larger one and person taking the order pointed to the small paper cup and we said yes that one. When our order was ready we were given a small espresso shot in a tiny glass which was about 1/3 full. When I said there must have been confusion as we pointed to the small paper cup size and the barista said well that’s what you ordered but we’ll make you an Americano. That was nice. Then when sitting down at our table I slipped and spilled the coffee. Some patrons came to assist and grabbed napkins to wipe up the mess. Some workers appeared to be just standing there watching us. When I asked for help I was told to wait and eventually someone came out and wiped up the floor. I stood there, thanked her and was kind of expecting an offer to have the coffee replaced, however she simply said “Enjoy your coffee” and walked away, my wife said “How can I it’s all been spilled”, and the girl appeared to look back and smile. It would have been a kind gesture to have it replaced.
The staff at this coffee shop are very friendly; however, every time I have come here, my order has been incorrect. At first, I assumed the initial mistakes were just a fluke, but on each subsequent visit, my drink was still wrong. I always order a simple latte, either iced or hot, to go, so it is not a complicated request. Despite that, it has consistently been different from what I ordered.

They have Turmeric Latte, which was great in this cold weather! This place is a cozy spot to chill!

Even though it was quite busy, everything was so good. Seat, table, service, and taste.

One of the best coffee ever, BUT when you enter the shop it feels like you are in the shared office space, interviews are going, business planning blah blah blah
What happened to normal coffee shops culture where you can enjoy coffee with friends?

First time at Analog and came for their Hot Chocolate Festival feature (Miso Moon for $14). Prices for Hot Chocolate Fest drinks have gone up, but I didn't think it was an out of the ordinary price for the fest options, although my subbed oat milk/non-dairy option with coconut whip cost an additional $1. We found the Houjicha and miso flavours to be pronounced, with an earthy and salty aftertaste. The small cardamom cookie was a nice touch. We also had their vegan apple fritter ($5.50) and vegan vanilla donut ($5.25). Those were decent vegan baked goods, but nothing special. I did really enjoy the hot chocolate, however, the coffee shop environment would make me hesitant to return.
There's a variety of seating options (counter by window, tables of 2, couch seating, patio). However, we noticed many tables occupied by people busy on their laptops, including a group of 2 who took up a total of FOUR stools and had their bags/coats on them. One individual had a table of 2 and just placed their jacket on the opposite chair to give the illusion of another person (that seat stayed empty the entire 30-45 minutes we were there, having snagged a spot on the couch). This was around 10:30/11 am on a weekday and it was a peak period where customers were coming in and looking for seating. It really limits the number of seats available for guests wanting to stay and enjoy their beverage/food in comfort. I really think more cafes and customers would benefit from no laptops or limiting a section for those with laptops. While Analog has a sign at their till asking those with laptops to share tables or take a single seat, it's clear it's not being followed. Despite that, staff were friendly and efficient in their jobs (minus not enforcing their own laptop policy), and kindly cleared our dishes and asked if we enjoyed their hot chocolate.
$15 for a cup of hot choco.. Everything that's wrong with prices and inflation

I got their miso moon as part of their hot chocolate festival menu.
It’s $14, which already is wildly overpriced in my opinion, but I suppose that for a seasonal event drink, the higher price makes sense.
To be honest, I was mostly excited for the cardamom whipped cream and cardamom cookie, but I barely tasted cardamom in either component.. All I could taste was the strong dark chocolate of the drink itself (which overpowers the hojicha) and the very salty caramel (which i assume comes from the miso). This was unfortunately really disappointing, felt like I spent quite a bit for such a mediocre drink.
I've had issues with this place messing up my orders a few times but gave them the benefit of the doubt because I like the vibe.
I had the miso mocha as part of the hot chocolate festival and it was a joke. Didn't come with any of the ingredients stated and tasted like watered down instant chocolate. Given that it cost $18 including tax+tip and was lukewarm garbage, I can safely say I will never visit this place again.

I go out of my way to stop at Analog when I'm visiting Vancouver. It's one of the few cozy cafes you can sit and enjoy a VERY good latte in a warm, inviting space. No one there appears rushed and it feels like a vibrant, community hub, which is rare these days.
I'm not even a coffee drinker but my husband is obsessed (we have a professional espresso machine at home). They have their settings dialed and use quality beans. They also have a few tasty vegan/gf snacks.
Definitely one of the best coffee shops in Vancouver.

I love this place. It's a Calgary brand, and they do do how to cater to their clientele, that's one lovely thing about Calgary companies, they understand the value of customers.
I like the decor, it's an upscale Scandinavian mix with Thai accents, so West meets East in a calming way. Every item is delicious, and the coffee is incredibly good.
Young and mixed vibe, lots of seating and on a lovely busy corner.
Bright airy big windows, super clean bathrooms.
This is a definite Sam Approved Cafe!
