I had breakfast A+B. The same noodles were all delicious, but the price was not expensive.

An older establishment. Decent Hong Kong style food. Prices on the higher side compared to similar tier places.

We were craving authentic Hong Kong comfort food. We found Angel Cafe hit the spot! We indulged in the Shrimp with Stir Egg Sauce over Rice Noodles and the Spicy Pork with Eggplant over Yi Mein. Each dish comes with your choice of soup (Russian Borscht, Chinese, or Cream) and a hot beverage (cold options available for an extra cost). So satisfying and generous portions meant leftovers.

It was a bit busy when we arrived about 7:30pm on a Friday. We were quickly seated to last available booth. Their menu is extensive to the point I did not know what to order. My go to is Shrimp with Stir Egg Sauce and it was done really well.

The decor seems a bit outdated and need of some renovation but it was clean. It's a dying breed for simple and good HK cafe in Vancouver.

This is an old school hong kong style cafe restaurant serving up hong kong favourites.

It is inexpensive, almost always packed.

Also an old player in the vancouver ethnic restaurant scene.

Come here for the nostalgia and food but don’t expect 5 star dining.

Great joint for regular eating.

Their hot grill is super worth it.
For $28, you get 3 giant pieces of meat, a whole potato with cream sauce, rice, milk tea, and pudding for dessert.

It’s the best value meal. Better than what other HK restaurants offer for hot plate food.

It’s enough to feed 2 people.

However, their other items aren’t as good of a “value meal”. Like their curry at night doesn’t come with milk tea or soup. And it doesn’t make sense cuz their curry portions aren’t that big either.

You would have to order a separate drink for like $5.

So I would only recommend the hot grill plate food. 👍👍

My boyfriend and I come to this restaurant monthly. The food is served very fast and the taste is always great but the reason why I come here over and over is that the ambiance of this restaurant makes me feel like I am at home, especially the male owner is extremely friendly, he always makes sure we have everything we need in 1 minute. By the way, this is one of my favorite Hongkong restaurants in Vancouver, you guys must try it

We enjoyed a dinner here and the food was pretty good. Portions are large (can definitely share 2 dishes between 3 adults) and the prices is OK since the dishes were large.

The stonebowl rice with beef is very good, and it keeps the fried rice hot throughout the meal. The fried vermicelli and rice noodle were decent too. The servers were helpful and kind as well.

Parking can be a challenge, so if you don't want to pay, then drive around a bit on the side street and you'll find some further in.

Rude server and food is just ok. I don’t recommend their wanton soup, it was just like boiled water. Tables and utensils are dirty

Came for dinner with the family. Hong Kong Style Cafe.
Portions are big! Great value for your money.

We ordered 3 of their specials which came with 5 different meat options plus soup and hot drink. I ordered their 3 item special because I wanted to try out the lamp and short ribs. Good flavor on all the dishes and staff was very friendly .

Decor was ok. We will definitely be back.

Wow! if i can or i could i would VOTE this Cafe as a Michelin Award Cafe Award! But again most of the times the Michelin Awards is only given to the " high end " or so called Fusion, Expensive Diners. So its sad to see and hear that most locally family operated Diners are not even chosen for the Michelin Awards. Sadly to hear this! For this Cafe! It has been years since i stepped into this diner in early 2000 with my first ex. Now, 2024( Dec. 3rd ) its been over 24 years since i stepped into this diner after all these years. Heard it was closed for some weeks for renovations. After tonight dinner, i have to say it had taken a blow to me in a " POSITIVE " good way. Never thad a set meal combo set with its gigantic portions size of its options from the Hot Plate Menu ( 2 choices to choose from ). Order the Fish Fillet Cutlet with the Chicken Cutlet. ( was aiming for Mussels ) but changed of mine. follow with the mushroom gravy ( choices given ), follow by soup of the day ( vegetables or cream soup ) have to say the Cream Soup was good compare to other starchy and thick gooey, gummy texture soup, toasted thick buttered garlic bread. Very edible toast ( fresh ). This was the not the case. Than of course it follow by its complimentary drinks ( HK Milk Tea ). Not forget the ( which i did not remember it included ) Mango Mousse with Evaporated milk ( custard ceramic cup ) It was good! Just right right ( fresh ). I have to say the size of the Fish Fillet Cutlet and Chicken Cutlet ( was size of the Ping Pong Bat. I was shocked, it was freshly fried with nice golden crust skin ( fresh cooking oil ) for sure! Not like dark, brownish fried items. follow by the 3 pieces of cooked dente Broccoli forlets, and mixed diced vegetables ( carrots, cornbits ). Its worth for the dinner. Will check it out for Lunch Combo Mini Sets.
