I hope you never change Aphrodite’s. The gluten-free (celiac-friendly), vegan, organic fruit pies are one of those things that makes life worth living for. We have been going here for years and it’s become somewhat of a ritual. There’s just no place like it.
(I'm reviewing for the pie shop specifically) I adore this spot! It's very cute and cozy, perfect for a cup of tea and piece of pie with friends. They have vegan and gluten free crust options, and the strawberry rhubarb is a personal favourite of mine.
The server was quite rude. (1/5)
The food was mediocre. (3/5)
I gave 5 stars in the atmosphere because of the sunshine on the window seat.(5/5)
It's not worth visiting again.

We ordered a coffee and sat down in this very cozy restaurant and took home a strawberry rhubarb piece to share with our friends at a dinner meal…very tasty quality and each person enjoyed each portion of the pie they were served….
Parking: There are plenty of parking spaces free and paid parking in the immediate vicinity of the cafe..

Waiting 55 minutes for two plates of food is simply unacceptable, especially for brunch. I understand challenges can arise, and I can see you're trying your best, but it’s clear the new ownership lacks the necessary experience to run a restaurant efficiently. The kitchen urgently needs better organization, thorough staff training, and potentially additional staff to handle busy periods.
On the service side, there are significant issues as well. The current management seems ineffective, and it’s clear that many of the staff lack experience, proper training, and motivation. The servers didn’t appear happy to be there, which impacts the guest experience. I recommend hiring staff who are genuinely enthusiastic about hospitality—diverse hires, including those with experience from outside Canada, might bring more professionalism and a welcoming attitude.
I hope you take this feedback constructively to improve both your kitchen operations and front-of-house service.
Good luck.

The selling point is every ingredient is organic. I tried their Turkey Pot Pie, tasty but just a small slice with green salad on the side. The salmon burger is better in value. Good to try if you are for organic food.

We were looking for a good place to have brunch and a friend recommended Aphodite’s.
Valerie was very sweet and suggested the eggs benny. They were delicious! We also had a latte and we loved it. If you’re looking for quality food and good service, this is your place.

Been here multiple times. I usually get a Benny but I've had the green eggs and ham too. Both were good. Take my friends here all the time, they love it. Good options for healthy and restricted eaters. Nice patio on sunny days. Family friendly. Good date spot.

I come from the land of pies (England) but these were pretty good pies.
What a shame , such a iconic restaurant that I have been going to for years has gone down in quality and service. I ordered the pie and chai it took my sever close to 20 minutes to get my order in a almost empty restaurant at lunch time, they had to walk across the street to get the pie . You would think that at lunch hour there would be pie there. They microwaved the pie so that it was scorching hot in the front of the pie and cold in the middle and back of the pie. They no longer serve the vegetarian chili which was amazing. Between wanting to charge you a extra $4.00 for ice-cream for your pie and everything else I would not recommend this place. I do hope the new owners reflect on why their lunch hour was dead
I ordered through Uber eats however I live less than 1 km from the restaurant. The delivery itself from the restaurant took a few min but my food was so cold (I ordered the Aphrodite breakfast). The eggs were completely overdone and partially burnt (I requested for sunny side up) and the hashbrowns were just stale and so cold. The bread was warm so I’m guessing they probably timed the two items wrong but just the quality was so bad for charging 30$ for this. If it was maybe 15-20$ I wouldn’t complain but this is ridiculous and a waste of money, so just honestly make food at home instead of ordering breakfast here.
