I made the mistake of not asking the price of the pies when ordering. It would have been nice to have been warned because they are $50 each. For the price, I was not impressed. I had gf df pumpkin pies. The crust was very crumbly and the pie lacked flavour. I've made many gf df pies at home with simple ingredients which were a lot better. I was just short on time which is why I decided to order.

A must to go if you are looking for a good taste

Ordered an a quiche to go for dinner. The quiche filling was good but the dough was uncooked. Even after 45 minutes in the oven still raw. For $47 that’s awful! Very disappointed.

Pie's where okay but didn't feel fresh. Coffee was average but nothing special. For the relatively high pie price I would have liked something nicer and fresher.

I ordered 3 different pie slices to go, they all ended up being days old, not fresh. The price point for these is very high for what you get. The person taking my order let another person cut inline in front of me while I was in the middle of making my selection.
If you take takeout they will bring it from the back and not the fridge in front, so you have no chance of seeing how fresh they were.

Extremely disappointed with this place.

Aphrodite’s has been around for a very, very long time and I had fond memories some 12 years ago from both the Pie Shop and the Restaurant that used to be “kitty corner” at the intersection of 4th and Dunbar. However, after a recent visit, it is abundantly clear that much has changed - and not for the better. Whatever the reason, be it the lack of cleanliness, the limited food menu, and the substandard omelette and what appeared to be “tater tots” microwaved - it was horrible. So much so that I had to spend a few hours in the toilet. I even read through the reviews just to see if I was being fair, but after reading multiple horror stories, including one noting mice feces - there is no doubt that a once “go to” healthy choice should be avoided at all costs. Coupled with an incredibly grimy and filthy interior and a very hefty price tag for such a terrible omelette - I cannot justify a return - ever. Sad really.

This pie shop is an absolute gem, and I have to give major props to their social media marketing! Seriously, that's how I discovered them, and I'm so glad I did. Their online presence is fantastic the photos of their pies are mouth-watering, and their posts always highlight the incredible variety they offer. It really built up the anticipation, and let me tell you, the pies lived up to the hype and then some.
From the moment I walked in, I could tell this place was special. The aroma of freshly baked goods was intoxicating, and the display of pies was a work of art. Each slice is a perfect balance of flaky crust and delicious filling. Truly a delightful experience, all thanks.

Raspberry rhubarb recommended. It was heated without asking me. Small slice was mostly outside crust. Crust is not flaky or crisp. Filling was serviceable but not sweet and NOT worth $10/slice. Seriously disappointing, I will not return.
