I was pleasantly surprised to find out that that the Aphrodite”s restaurant breakfast is still being served at the pie shop after closure of the main location.
As a local Vancouverite I was sad to see that the Aphrodite’s restaurant had been sold and closed and whenever I drove by I would reminisce about the amazing organic and delicious breakfast meals I have had there. Today i wandered into the pie shop that to me looked like a coffee shop and I saw that they had a breakfast menu. It was very good. Just like a mini version of the restaurant and the vibe of the shop is very friendly and welcoming. The owner even chatted with me and shared that a lot of people don’t know that they have moved the breakfast now to the pie shop! So I totally recommend you go check it out. This is a one of a kind gem!
The noise level was also amazing and I was able to record a content video for my @connectwithnina IG.

Seriously, if you love pie, you must visit this place. This isn't just pie; it's a culinary revelation.
Every slice features a golden, melt in your mouth crust and fillings bursting with flavor. From spiced apple to decadent chocolate and vibrant berry crumble, the quality is unmatched.
It's more than dessert it's an unforgettable experience.

Really enjoyed my strawberry rhubarb pie! Warmed up perfectly. I agree the prices are steep and the coffee was just alright but the service was good when I went and I like sitting outside there. Shame to see all the bad reviews cause I genuinely like this place. Good vegan and GF options.

Georgia went above and beyond for us! She took the time to go through the too good to go pies (there were 30 of them!) to help us find the ones we wanted! She was so patient and kind. Will definitely be coming back!

Picked up a too good to go offer and was not impressed with my surprise bag selection just being half of pie that slightly tasted like vinegar. I wouldn't go back personally. I watched them pour mixed chai out of a plastic Tupperware when they charge $17 for a slice of pie and chai.

$50 for an apple pie? It is simply overpriced.

Incredibly average beverages and pies for absolutely mind blowing prices. 60+$ for a passable pie is truly bizarre.

I have attempted to eat here twice now in the last 4 months.

First attempt: came in 40 mins before close to get three slices to-go. The lady behind the counter was already counting the cash and slammed down the money in her had and was very outwardly frustrated at me wanting something. Left immediately.

Second attempt: I come in mid day and there’s only three types of pie, and one ended up mis-labeled, so two (gluten free). I still decided to get one slice from them and asked for it to be heated and add whipped cream “we’re out of whipped cream” in a pie shop???? Then I asked for a cup of tea, and when I go to pay it’s over $18 for one small slice of pie and one cup of tea. I asked if a mistake had been made. The server stated the tea is $6. This is just earl grey, it’s not a fancy frothed milk concoction. $6!? Then the pie is obviously $13 for a small slice. I said I didn’t want either anymore.

I ended up going down the road a little to Breka and having such a lovely piece of gf mouse cake with a very fancy drink and taking 3 donuts home for my husband. All 5 products came out to the same price as a piece of pie and a plain cup of tea! Highly recommend going to Breka instead!

This pie shop is an absolute gem with the most homey, cozy vibes. Every time we visit, we’re greeted with warm smiles and fantastic customer service. My daughter and I can’t get enough of their vanilla banana cream pie—it’s to die for! The flavors are always perfect, and the shop has such a welcoming atmosphere. Whether you’re stopping in for a treat or just looking for a comforting spot to relax, I highly recommend it. You won’t be disappointed!

Came here for a slice of pie. Pretty sure they warmed it up in a microwave and then served it still half cold in a take out box. Having an organic pie ruins the purpose if you’re going to irradiated it (maybe he used an oven and I didn’t see)

When I’m paying 12$ for a pie, why is it served cold and disgusting?

The interior is filthy.

They don’t response to reviews. It shows how little they care. Avoid.

There was no refrigerator and the sweets were without covers and full of flies. Some flies were sitting on the sweets And some of them were flying.
I showed her and asked, aren't these flies dirty? She answered, I am not sure if they are dirty.
She behaved very rudely.
I will not return to this coffee shop and I do not recommend it.

We had come to vancouver for a week and staying in Kitsilano. Aphrodite's was recommended for their pies so I thought i would give it a try. Overall a very disappointing experience.
The person behind the counter seemed least interested. The pie was taken from the fridge and heated. The filling was average but the crust was soft and soggy. It was supposed to be served with a salad which did not happen.
I may have gone in early in the day but I should have been told that the pies weren't fresh.
On the positive side the cookies and scones looked good.
