I came here for dinner before and had a wonderful experience so I invited my friend for brunch since it was her birthday. The service was attentive and and the drink & food taste wonderful. It was very elegant and prepare for the eyes and your stomach. I would definitely come back and bring my family to enjoy their food and atmosphere.

I recently visited this lovely restaurant for a friend's birthday celebration and had a fantastic time! The service was top-notch, and the food was served at a perfect pace. One thing that really stood out to me was how they changed the cutlery after our appetizers - it's a small detail, but it really made a difference to me!The cocktails were amazing, and I absolutely fell in love with the Perfect Matcha - it had just the right amount of sweetness and matcha astringency. We also tried a bunch of dishes, including the Veal Sweetbread, Roasted Scallops, Foie Gras Toast, Caramel Miso Sablefish, and Bone-in Ribeye. The flavors were incredible, and I especially loved the Sablefish dish - the sauce was so delicious that I couldn't resist getting extra House Bread to go with it! The steak was slightly overdone, but it didn't detract from the overall experience. The best part of the evening was speaking to one of the owners, who was so friendly and welcoming. They even offered us complimentary desserts for the special celebration! Overall, it was an amazing experience, and I would highly recommend this restaurant for a date night or any special occasion. I can't wait to go back!

Michelin-rated establishment. The Banny Egg lacked the expected richness in its hollandaise, yet the fish was impeccably fresh and delicious. The salad dressing leaned towards a pleasantly tangy acidity, a flavor profile I personally enjoy. Overall, it was a good experience.

First time at archer and we shared a few starters. I was recommended by a friend to try the SMOKED OYSTERS and I was so blown away by them! Everything for from the flavour profile to the presentation. My partner got theFOIE GRAS TOAST twice! I’ll say that again. We order another round because my partner made a face he only makes with me lol. Not jealous though because it was curl your toes good! We also go the VENSION TARTARE which was a good change from traditional beef tartare. We loved the experience and staff was great. Owner was so friendly and pop over to welcome us. We will definitely be back again.

Went there for brunch and ordered pork belly Benny and was not impressed. The pork belly was over cooked and too chewy. Also ordered their latte which tasted like nespresso so definitely not worth the $6

We were warmly greeted and given a choice of table, which we appreciated. Everything we ordered was nicely plated, portions were reasonable, ingredients were excellent, flavours good. The scallops were perfectly cooked but cool by the time they arrived. The sablefish was well accompanied but the fish itself was a bit bland. The venison tartare on bacon potato bread (deep fried?) was very filling. The pork jowl was good. A tasty matcha terrine for dessert, but it could have been fresher.Good service and a pleasant exchange with one of the establishment’s owners. The room was 3/4 full on a weekend evening.Overall a good dining experience that did not match the price point. The value wasn’t quite there.I’d return to try brunch but am not in a rush to have dinner there again.

This was one of the more disappointing meals I've had in a while. I can't believe they are being recognized on the Michelin guide (not starred).First, the decor is very beautiful, although there's a starkness of stuff missing off the very blank walls I wasn't sure how to feel. What I didn't like was all of the damn fruit flies - they wouldn't end.Service was OK - kind of amateur for that level of price. The food is what got me low though. It wasn't executed well. The oysters were pungent and fishy due to the choice of roe on top as well as the process of smoking tableside. I'm not huge into oysters but I can eat a few. There were four oysters for five people, but only three of us tried. The one guest is such an oyster lover, almost aficionado, and where I thought they'd be fighting over the fourth oyster, noone wanted it. The consensus from the two of them - worst oyster they've ever eaten in my lives. I agreed. I couldn't stomach it.Everything else was just, average at best, and lacked salt. The tartare on the bread was super weird. The tartare was tasty, but the bread had the consistency of mochi. It was raw and gummy inside. Almost like undercooked batter. I don't know if that's the recipe, the way it's supposed to be, but none of us liked how "raw" feeling it was.The Wagyu and bone marrow was OK, nothing special for the price. It didn't wow me any different from any other cut of regular beef, didn't feel or taste like Wagyu. The best executed dish was the duck breast - flavourful and seasoned. While we were all interested in getting desserts at the start of the meal, we all opted out and decided to go to a patisserie down the road. Everything was just....OK....and not at the caliber it should be at for the price. I won't be recommending it, there's a lot of work to do.Visit date was evening of Monday Mar 4, 2024

I went with my partner to Archer Dining for the 2024 DineOut menu and the food was unfortunately poor in quality and taste, even at the discounted $65/person price. The appetizers were unusually salty and on the smaller side. The Venison Tartare was oversalted but still decently flavourful and edible, whereas the Hamachi Crudo was oversalted to a point where it was nearly inedible. For the entrees, the Miso Caramel Sablefish was undersalted, with the fish plated as two small filets that were sugary and lacked a proper sear. The fregola base was bland and was submerged in a watery broth, resulting in a flavour resembling steamed beans. The Fraser Valley Duck Breast was the better of the two entrees we had ordered, however the dish was also overly salty. The duck breast was mushy in texture, tasted of iron and was improperly seared.Lastly, the dessert course was the best of the 3 courses we had eaten, with the Dark Chocolate Mousse being light and airy with a Lindt chocolate flavour. The champage sorbet it was served with also had a wonderful flavour, but when the sorbet and mousse were eaten together, the flavours would combine and create a bitter taste. The Salted Caramel Pot de Creme had a nice, creamy mouthfeel, but tasted noticeably like burnt Werther's Original Caramels. Our server Hailey was incredibly friendly and was sympathetic to our experience with the food, stating that she would pass our thoughts to the chef. She had offered to swap our dishes, but seeing the quality of how all the dishes of the night were seasoned or paired, we decided against it.The ambience of the restaurant was quite nice with warm, softly lit lamps scattered around the establishment, however the immersion in the experience was not only broken by the food we ate, but also upon seeing a chef idly pacing back and forth in the upstairs kitchen while the restaurant below was fully seated.Overall, the food at Archer Dining was not up to par with the pricing and atmosphere set and I would not dine with them again.
