This is my favourite restaurant and I go there often. It is relaxed and has lots of bistro atmosphere. Great service from friendly French waiters. Very good food and wine. Impossible to resist deserts. Also excellent coffee. I highly recommend it.

There was a bug in my food. I watched it crawl up the side of my brioche and around the top of my benedict while trying to flag the waiter down. The waiter saw the bug crawling around also. Normally I would say it happens, just replace it or give me something else with an apology. The manager however comes to my table and tries to tell me it’s just a speck of dust. I told him dust does not crawl around and both myself, my friend who was with me, and the waiter saw it. When he couldn’t gaslight me, he suggested he pick it out and I have the half of the meal that did not have the bug on it as it was a waste of food and I’d have to wait another 20 minutes while they prepared a new one. He said he was the manager and continued to argue me. The bug grossed me out, I said I’d just have the croissant. The waiter was lovely, the manager was so arrogant I could hardly believe it. I can’t recommend this place if you’re looking for a nice brunch experience.

Classic small French restaurant. Very authentic with fantastic steak frites, burger with foil gras, great French wines, tasty onion soup and crème brûlée. My top recommendation is the steak frites with extra Roquefort. Service is a gamble. Great sometimes and not so good other times.

Great experience at Au Comptoir! The quality of the food was excellent, everything was beautifully prepared and full of flavor. The atmosphere is warm and pleasant, and the waitresses were incredibly kind and attentive. It truly made me happy to find a little taste of France here. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Food is delicious although selection is limited. Never had a bad meal. Bistro style so if you are looking for a fancy place this is not it. All waiters are French which adds to the flair. The salade Vercingetorix is their take on a Caesar and most delicious which can be split as an appetizer or great for lunch.

I've been here a couple times from a recommendation from a coworker. It's OK. The food is usually bland. It can also be a bit pricey depending on what you get. However, the cocktails are OK. The service can be it or miss if you get a table. However, I wouldn't recommend sitting at the bar since the service is consistently worse at the bar with the bartenders that work there and was the final straw where I stopped going here. Personally, wouldn't recommend.
