Autostrada Downtown is a special restaurant for us. It's our go to neighbourhood spot. We love the food, the service, and the atmosphere.When we have visiting friends from out of town, we love bringing them to Autostrada, everyone loves it.Simply one of the best restaurants we've experienced for over all goodness, hard to pick a better place to break bread with friends.

Tried this restaurant for the first time last night having recently moved to BC. It was the best restaurant I have been to in BC so far. So sad to hear that they will be shutting the location down. Kait was our server and she was so unbelievably kind and she went out of her way to ensure it was enjoyable. It was very busy and things took a bit longer (which was totally fine, we were there to enjoy our evening) and Kait communicated with us and did everything to ensure we had an amazing night. Overall experience was 10/10. Loved the food, staff and atmosphere.

Great Italian place with a vibrant atmosphere! Reservation highly recommend. Food was cooked to perfection. You can already tell from the menu, there's one page of food items so they must know how to make each one to perfection. You can see the chefs cooking and take in the smell of your food as it gets cooked which can be a deal breaker for some. The hosts/bartender/chefs were occasionally talking to customers at tables, you can tell some were regular nonetheless the service staff was very friendly and welcoming.

I swear we got two if not three extra savory courses.The pea and mint risotto with seated scallops was from another planet it was so good. Everything is every dish was excellent. Place was packed. Nice energy. Not too loud to talk.6 stars.

Great tasting food. Good ingredients, excellent presentation. I had the steak, medium rare and let me tell you, it was cooked to perfection. A great selection of Italian red wines, with a sprinkle of French offerings. I ordered a chianti, very smooth tasting and not too overpowering or overwhelming. The atmosphere is LOUD but hey ? while dining, you are in Italy! . I recommend the place, just be prepared to leave a few Benjamin's.

Food is pretty good. Would have loved the bread to be warm, burrata was probably the best I've had in Vancouver.. their exhaust in the kitchen just does not work! My eyes were hurting because of the smoke. Hope to go back once they fix their exhaust

My wife & I had been wanting to try this place for awhile. It was definitely worth the wait ! Greeted at the door, seated right away. Our server Michael, provided exceptional service and took the time to describe the menu & wine options to help with our selections. Best meatballs we've ever had. Fresh and hot ingredients. Upbeat , trendy atmosphere. We will be back !
We have been to all of the Autostrada locations and this one is by far the best. The manager Scotty is on point and super friendly. The food is the best Italian in the city. If you want a great atmosphere and really well prepared Italian food. Give this restaurant a try.

Out of all the Italian restaurants in Vancouver we decided to celebrate a friend's BD in Osteria Autostrada on Pender Street. It was an outstanding experience. From the service to food, everything was top notch. The pricing was fair for the quality of the food.Do yourself a favor and go try this gem of a restaurant.
