Good vibes!

I come here to do admin work in the evenings. It is open late, the live piano player as well as the attentive servers make it a top notch place to sit back and get computer work done. Honestly, my favorite spot- better than any cafe.

Visited for a birthday dinner recently and was impressed! The service was great and the ambiance of the restaurant is beautiful and very upscale - you'll enjoy it with parties of all sizes. There is a diverse menu with a broad variety of options to suit all tastes - the seafood platter and creme brulée for dessert were personal favourites. Definitely worth visiting for your next fine dining experience!

The place is classy and fine dining but the staff were clearly not as organized as other fine dining restaurants. Even waiting for the bill took about 10 mins.

The food was only a 'good' (3.0-3.5 stars) and nothing worthy of returning to, even for special occassions. Compared to something like Le Crocodile, Bacchus pales in comparison when it comes to flavours, refinement and overall value. They meet what you expect in a dish, but nothing more, which is not what you'd be looking for in a fine dining. The desserts were about a 3.5 stars. The crème brûlée's sugar coating was too thick making the entire dessert too sweet. This comes back to the lack of refinement.

It's worth a try if you feel like splurging, just don't expect too much in terms of food or service.

*Note, for fine dining, I expect a 4.5 to 5 stars.

We had a delightful evening at Bacchus. The ambiance of the restaurant created an intimate, cozy atmosphere perfect for a date night with live piano music. Our waiter Franklin did a fantastic job advising us and kept the food and drinks coming while remaining unobtrusive. He even surprised us with an end of the meal treat knowing that we were celebrating our anniversary.

Ok... this is our go to for a relaxing, cozy, great service, and quality food! Thanks Raymond for taking great care of us when we visit! It is a bit pricey but I feel it is worth it. From loose leaf tea, homemade jams to great quality breakfasts. We get the full American breakfast and omelet.

Make sure to get clarity about the parking, there was some confusion with the front desk and we ended up having to pay the valet fee eventhough we parked the cars ourselves.

Splendid!

For a Michelin Guide restaurant we were very disappointed. First the maître d was nowhere to be seen. He appeared sporadically very disinterested in his work. Without a rush of clients the plating proved ordinary at best, the eggs Benedict were nearly hard boiled. My companion order poached eggs which were served with nothing else than some breakfast potatoes. The plate looked plain and unappealing. A breakfast that cost 85$ for two people makes the cappuccino or expresso the most expensive in town. But the hotel doorman was welcoming and very pleasant as were the hotel staff. Food and beverage manager should be held a little more accountable. Too bad because it use to be a great place.

Was easy to see why it's on the Michelin star list. One of the finest restaurants from top to bottom I've ever eaten at and I've eaten at quite a few. If we're ever back in vancouver, this will be a must stop.

What a gem! From the food selection to service to dinnerware, what a wonderful place! And the piano player adds so much to the atmosphere! Rabbit terrine and crème brulee was amazing.

Such a quaint place with amazing decor. Went for happy hour on Friday, sat in the Bacchus lounge at a beautiful velvet booth. Reservations recommended during summertime. Drinks were delicious but when we got our separate cocktail bills, they were not correct, I had a HH Margarita that was rang up at regular price & a glass of beer was added to my bill. Server made the corrections to our bills, mine went from $55 to $35 always double check your bill before you pay. Server did apologize though

really like the place. server was great. wife and I enjoyed the 18oz steak a lot. we added mushroom and scallops to our order. they were just as awesome. i did regret a little not ordering tomahawk steak, but that gives me something to look forward to on our next visit. highly recommend making reservation prior to arrival.
