Walked in for lunch. A few other people were scattered around. Server told us to take a table, gave us menus and that was about it. It wasn't busy and she was the only server. We ended up walking out after sitting for over 10 minutes and no more service. Doubt we'll give it another chance. Too many other places to try on my list.

Wanted to come here a second time to confirm my suspicions, and yep: This is the best and most authentic Mexican restaurant in Vancouver. The michelada, aguachile, birriamen, and tacos were all amazing, and service was lovely. I’ll definitely be coming back often.

I had a really disappointing experience here. From the start, the place already felt off — they serve everything in disposable cups and cutlery, which really takes away from the dining experience, especially for the prices they charge. The service was terrible. Even though the restaurant was nearly empty, nobody came to take our order for a long time. When we finally ordered, it took about 45 minutes for the food to arrive, and to make things even more frustrating, the appetizer came after the main dishes were already on the table.
This is supposed to be a sports bar, but when I asked the waitress to put football on one of the TVs, she said they don’t show sports at all — every single screen was playing random videos, and her only answer was “that’s how it is.” Very strange for a place that calls itself a sports bar.
And sadly, the seafood, which used to be one of the highlights here, just doesn’t taste the same anymore — the flavor and freshness are nowhere near what they used to be. Overall, it was an underwhelming and frustrating visit, and I don’t see myself coming back.

Well so much for the peaceful part because this place now blares its music so loud it’s impossible to enjoy. Try to be respectful of others who are not in your establishment and keep it contained to the inside…

We were served warm white wine, which is both surprising and unappetizing. The food was decent, but nothing amazing compared to other options. They'll have to up their game if they want to compete in this 'hood.
Great ambience but, after ordering 5 rounds of tequila shots for the table, I was told by a friend there was a special. I wish I had known this before, the waitress didn't mention it at the beginning.

In a week I visited Baja Racing three times because I really like the food but last time I was there I order nachos and they came with mayonnaise instead sour cream… when I asked about why mayonnaise they said there was no sour cream. Of course I would prefer not putting anything at all, if you don’t have one ingredient please ask if people would like something else instead.
I ask if they could change them because honestly it tasted terrible with the mayonnaise and they said “there is no more cheese to make another nachos”… at the end they charged me for the nachos 🙃

I have now been at this place twice. The first time was May 23rd. I have driven by this play for about a couple of years and decided to give it a try. When you first walk in you wait and wait for someone to tell you where you can sit. The staff see you but lack to acknowledge you....so you wait or get someone's attention. Once you get seated, you wait and wait again for someone to come to your table. I had to stop someone and ask for a menu, which then one of the servers grabbed from a table adjacent table and gave to us. Then menu was dirty....
Once we were ready, we waited....so I had to stop the server to let them know we were ready to order just for them to tell us that she wasn't our server......so we waited more. I think at this point it was 30 min of waiting.
5 to 10 minutes later the server arrived to take our order. PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THIS PLACE WAS NOT PACKED OR BUSY.
Food was average once it arrived. We order a super burrito, tacos, michelada, modelo, churros. As we were eating a live band started playing (good for atmosphere). HOWEVER, we were not even done eating when the server came to us and told us to either pay a cover fee or consume more to stay and listen to a rock band..... between 2 people we were already consuming over $80 within a span of 30 minutes for them to tell us we had to consume more. It was 8pm at this point, so I just told the server to bring me the bill.
I left bothered by the experience, as Google reviews made it seem this place was good. I thought maybe this place was a one off bad experience, so I booked a table for 530pm the following week to watch a soccer game.
The following week I bring my family and friends, and the SAME THING HAPPENS....We waited to get someone's attention...waited 5 to 10 minutes before anyone gave us attention.
We sat down and waited....no one shows up to ask us if they could get us something. By this time we had been there 10 minutes, place was 40% full....staff talking amongst eachother so my party of 8 just decided to leave.
Why we left: 1. Poor service 2. No improvement since last visit 3. Live band with LOUD MUSIC and could not hear or enjoy the soccer game. 4. Tables were moved near us and people were dancing to the live band which was okay, however it was annoying to have people bump into us while we got up to move or walk.
Overall I dont recommend this place. There are better latin places to go to such as El Patron, Mangos, Margaritas etc.
