Quaint restaurant with Excellent Malaysian hospitality. Our server was helpful, quick and accommodating. The food was authentic and we devoured our roti canai, satay, Kari kambing lamb curry, mee goreng and pisang goreng. It was delicious!

First time trying the Malaysian food here. We ordered roti w/ curry, curry tofu, mee goring, chay kueteo and fried eggplant. Everything tasted very good and the Service was great. Highly recommend this place!

Typical Banana Leaf restaurant on Davie Village. Relatively quick service, we were greeted and seated shortly after entering. Some items are quite overpriced and portion is small, like skewers of chicken, beef or lamb; they come in price of $8 for 2 skewers with tiny piece on. That's actually more expensive that some izakaya skewers specialty restaurant. I haven't been to this restaurant for a while but the price used to be more reasonable in memory. If this restaurant serves the food you crave for the by all means, they taste fine. Otherwise may as well go to some random high end restaurant in downtown for food that isn't really filling as well, but much fancier for similar value in the end.

The Laksa is just phenomenal. It’s like “comfort food”, but on a whole different level because of the spices and flavours that just satisfy every type of craving. Huge servings for a great price.

I ordered the pineapple shrimp and chicken rice along with sambal green beans, but unfortunately, both dishes lacked flavour. The rice was priced at $25, which felt steep given how few chicken pieces were actually in the dish. They don’t keep salt and pepper shakers or any other accompaniments on the table.

I also ordered fried banana dessert, but the staff forgot to punch it in. After waiting for 30 minutes with no update, I ended up cancelling it. Overall, the service wasn’t great. It was slow and inattentive, which only added to the disappointment.

Not likely to return based on this experience.

Went to this Banana Leaf before the fireworks in Vancouver before the show as my wife and I were craving Thai food. Last time we went to this location was quite awhile ago but we enjoyed it. Wow times have changed. The food portions given were absolutely absurd for the price we paid. $15 pre tax for 6 small measly chicken wings, we ordered a small rice and when we opened up the container it was half full, $12 pre tax for 3 small veggie spring rolls, and then we ordered the chicken green curry that was about $20. All in all our bill was $50 for this. Needless to say we were still hungry afterwards. We could not believe the stingy portion sizes for each dish. For what you get at banana leaf now at the price points they are charging, it is not worth it. The portions were much more generous before, from what we remembered, and less expensive. I get food costs have gone up but you can't charge more AND give less. Makes no sense. We will not be returning.

Excellent speciality restaurant on Davie street mear Burhaad street in Vancouver for authentic Malaysian cousine. We ordered a special roti, Assam fish curry with Jasmine rice, Spinach, Veg curry, aubergine and of course Penacota in dessert. Prices of each dish ranges between Can $ 15-25. We enjoyed very fresh dishes served, the ambience and ofcourse a friendly service.

Food was definitely below average and I can confidently say it was way worse than other Banana Leaf locations in Vancouver.

Toppings of the Nasi Lemak did not taste coordinated. The rice had no coconuts flavour and had lumps in it. The mango sticky rice was disappointing. The mango was extremely sour and the sticky rice had the texture of congee.

Staff was rude and was urging us to pay the bill sooner despite the fact that we were clearly not done with eating.

We will definitely not go back to this location. Very disappointing lunch experience.
