My sister-in-law and I went to the Banter Room before seeing a show at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre to see Moulin Rouge yesterday evening. Easy 5:30 reso but didn't feel too early! The place was comfortably full with plenty of lively conversation and a great ambience. Our second server was incredibly amazing (I wish I could remember her name), and the Dine out Vancouver menu was great value. Try their pear cocktail, the short ribs, squash salad, and chocolate mousse. There were one or two lulls in the food service; however, sometimes that's a good thing because otherwise I eat too quickly. They had a North Vancouver winery, Garden of Granite, on their wine list which my sister-in-law really enjoyed! A definite must visit restaurant!

This place is the definition of consistency — it never misses. From the warm, attentive service to the incredible food that somehow tastes even better every visit, everything just works. Add in a great atmosphere that makes you want to linger a little longer, and you've got a restaurant that sets the bar high every single time. If disappointment were on the menu, it clearly sold out years ago

Please go to the Banter Room....BRUNCH WAS AMAZING!!! My Mediterranean Breaky was superb and my girlfriend loved her Smoked Salmon Avocado Toast. Service was superb. The space was lovely. Look forward to going again.

Great food and ambiance, we sat on the heated patio we went for happy hour. The happy hour menu is small, hopefully they add more items in the future

We've been to the Banter room many times and the food never disappoints. We ordered the nachos and we shared the beet salad this time, both were delicious. Ally was our server and she is absolutely fantastic, what a wonderful person, she did such a great job. We'll be back!

Food (nachos) was overly salty - had to return them. Could not eat them To loud to interact with my guest as it was to loud. We were meant to have dinner there- with the nachos being overly salty and loudness of the place- we opted to leave. We were looking for a lively place- but did not our needs
