I had a dish here that was inspired by the Mi Goreng instant noodles and it just absolutely blew me away. The chefs here have somehow recreated the taste of Mi Goreng faithfully but with real, whole, and healthy ingredients. Super impressive. The sound system and their collection of vinyls also make it a great spot for music.

Incredible, transportive space; feels like a different city. Chef Ralph is a master and Paul’s DJing and wine curation makes this the perfect spot for date night (including taking yourself on a date). So glad this place exists.
Fantastic neighborhood gem in the Strathcona neighborhood. Between the super cool atmosphere due to the moody lighting, the gorgeous hi-fi vinyl bar, and the delicious food & excellent service (in Paul you should trust!) - you can’t go wrong. The beet salad (small plate) and Halibut confit (large plate) combined with Paul’s excellent wine pairings recommendations made for an exceptional dining experience.

Loved Bar Gobo’s 5-6pm happy hour with 9$ wines and delicious snacks. They have a nice vinyl sound system and service was all very friendly. Need to come back for the tasting menu/wine pairing!

Had a lovely time at Bar Gobo last night celebrating a friend’s birthday. The chicken liver mousse was incredible, also really enjoyed the risotto. Great staff and atmosphere - intimate setting. A little tight between tables, but didn’t bother me much!

What a great spot. They recently installed a very nice sound system, and spin fun records all night. If you've visited here in the past, but not since Nov '24, go give it another shot. Same great food and wine, but now enjoy it to a soundtrack.
