Barcelos Flame Grilled Chicken - South Vancouver

Pretty impressive considering it was a takeout order.

9/10: Corn ribs (great flavour), cauliflower bites (still crispy when I got home!), cole slaw (super fresh, crunchy)

8/10: Peri chicken (good well-rounded heat), mashed potatoes (nice, a bit bland)

Friendly service. Nice, clean decor. Seems like a fun place to hang out.

Excellent customer service by GaryS and the young lady at the back counter..made sure i got extra hot sauce and everything was proper,very polite, friendly staff by those 2 staff. Food was great, tasty and worth the price. Again customer service was exceptional which made it worth it all around!

If you haven't had chicken at this restaurant chain, you can't say you've truly had chicken. The chicken here is unlike any you've had at other restaurants. The food is genuinely delicious, and the staff are very friendly. This particular branch of the chain is especially clean and beautifully designed.

The only downside I can mention for this restaurant is the lack of parking space. If you're coming by car, it can be a big inconvenience

I ordered take out so can't say what the atmosphere or service was like. The chicken was dry and burnt. I get that there is supposed to be some charring with barbecue chicken but this was just straight up burnt. The skin was bitter and the chicken was so dry that we all had a hard time swallowing the chicken. We ended up throwing out most of it because it was inedible. Don't recommend.

Love the food and ambiance over here! The space is lovely for a family outing. I always enjoy the food. Service could be better. Staff in this location really need better training on handling large orders as they always mess up with the payments. They would charge for individual prices even if it can be taken as a combo (happened to us twice and the cashier didn't know how to refund us when we asked why she didn't make it a combo meal).Nevertheless, I love the food and will go their only for the halal choices!

Since nandos changed their menu to force less chicken on their skewers barcelos has been a great replacement with better quality chicken
