This coffee cafe situated along Granville Street was a super choice for us to enjoy really tasty baked goods and very high quality coffee experience..the warmth was evident upon our arrival and continued throughout the time we were present…nice discussion about the types of coffee beans we might purchase…again the warmth of the staff was very evident and authentic..a top cafe to consider when walking along Granville Street…

Stopped by here with a large group, the staff were extremely patient and accommodating. The location has one big table that can fit 8 comfortably, and we managed to squeeze about 14 in. They’ve got a wide selection of drinks and baked goods!The coffee was delicious, as were the croissants! Fortunately, around the corner is a nice outdoor seating area, so once the group gained 2 more, we migrated outside.

I usually really like Bean Around the World coffee shops but my visit here was just okay. It was on the good side of okay, though, where I almost feel bad about leaving 3 stars but can't really justify 4.The positives:- Very friendly service and homey atmosphere- Awesome rustic lemon meringue cheesecake and good decaf americano (not the strongest, but well-rounded flavour and not bitter)- Good prices (sandwich + dessert + coffee for $19)- Wide and interesting selection of baked goods like scones, loaves, muffins, etc- Good variety of GF baked goods (that looked really good), stored separately from the other baked goods. Not sure if any of the lunch stuff is GF though.The mixed:- Egg salad sandwich: great egg salad, but could've used greens of some sort and/or a heartier bread. I found it a little plain. But then, it was only $7.The negatives (these are mostly personal/nitpicky)- They forgot to put my sandwich on when I ordered and I waited 20 minutes before going up and waiting in line again to ask them about it. They were apologetic and it was ready quickly after that, less than 5 minutes. I did not observe this happening to anyone else so it is probably not a common occurrence.- They only have disposable cutlery despite having real plates and mugs.- Not everything in the display case is labelled and it's not obvious what some things are just by looking.- Given how the other locations I've been to have such good vegan and vegetarian options, I was surprised that this location had nothing vegan except drinks.While I was underwhelmed by this shop in some aspects, it also has a lot going for it, and I'd give it another chance if I was in this neighbourhood more often.
