We visited Beauvoir because we heard really good things about their chocolate chip cookies. And, they certainly did not disappoint. We agreed that their chocolate chip cookie even beat Fresh Street’s and Bakd’s.

It was quite interesting—usually it’s hard to find parking here, and the place is often full. But one day, after dropping a friend off at a nearby lab, I turned the corner and found a parking spot right in front of their door. What are the chances? Of course, I took the opportunity to park and enjoy a lovely afternoon tea!

I went to this bakery recently for a quick morning breakfast. Their options are very diverse and they have pastries that I’ve really never seen at other cafes before. I decided to try the Kouign Aman which I’ve never seen before and it’s become my absolute favourite. I’d def recommend this one to anyone else who’s thinking of trying something new! ✨

Went to this place yesterday after 3:00 pm and my friend ordered iced tea and was given a glass of iced water. The two lovely staff members insisted that it is iced tea when it clearly was not. It did not look like an iced tea and did not taste like an iced tea. There wouldn’t have been any issue if they just apologized for the mistake but they kept on insisting that it was iced tea. We were so disgusted by the atrocious behaviour of these two staff members who were so nonchalant in their fake apology. The nerve and audacity is next level!

I had a terrible experience at the Fir Street branch today. I ordered cold green tea and an almond pastry. Was chatting with my friends when I noticed I still don’t have my drink. I went to the counter and asked about my tea, they pointed me to a glass of water sitting on the counter saying “that’s your tea”. I said oh, I thought it was water. Is this my tea? The guy and the girl (picture attached) replied yes that’s your tea. I took a sip and it tasted like ice water. My friend came and asked for iced water, the guy gave my friend the exact looking glass with water. I tasted my friend came sa water and it tasted exactly like my drink. So I said “this is not tea, it’s literally water” referring to my drink. The guy (Aris) said it’s tea, I just put too much ice. Anyway, I’ll make you another one. I watched when he boiled water, steeped the tea and poured ice. The cup and the drink color looked totally different. (See picture below) I asked why they lied to me. Why they gave me a glass of water and said that was my tea. They still insisted it was tea. I don’t know why they did this to me. The guy looked and sounded so insincere and arrogant. Shame on you. Shame on the people who hired you. What, you randomly picked a person to make fun of? To think we drove all the way there from Richmond because my friend recommended your shop. What a waste of time!

I tried a few different pastries here: the Onion Bacon scroll, the Apple Pie Bun, the Cardamom Kouign-Amann, and the Matcha Sabayon. Everything was absolutely delicious! My favorite by far was the Cardamom Kouign-Amann, perfectly buttery with such an amazing flavor. The drink I ordered was beautifully presented and tasted great.
The atmosphere inside is cozy but on the smaller side, which makes the outdoor seating a really nice option. Overall, a wonderful bakery with fantastic pastries and a welcoming vibe.

I been to this shop many times and i was obsessed by their coffee at first. Pastries are nice but coffee quality is not consistent. Either too hot or too foamy, they totally destroy it due to the unprofessional barista, not gonna give them another chance. There are many coffee shop brewing with heart and passion.

My husband and I always loved this place croissants. The service is great and atmosphere is relaxing. However, today’s croissants were extremely doughy and underbaked. We are concerned that one of our favourite places has change the quality of their star product.

Subsequent visits have been great so far. Updating to 4 stars since my initial visit is an exception rather than the rule

Had an afternoon cafe, a bit dissatisfied with their hot chocolate. It wasn't rich and less chocolaty, rather too much milk. Luckily their croissant was okay.

Sooo good absolutely adore their pastries (top 5 in town)
But 8.25 for an iced matcha latte! Oat milk is free though! A bit steep :( I'll still get it but less often!

The last time we came here was during Covid so we were surprised to see how the store has changed over the last year. They removed the shelf in the middle and added more tables and they now have even more selection of desserts and pastries.
We tried the Valentine specials (rose raspberry lychee vanilla cream puff and raspberry danish) as well as this year's hot chocolate and everything was very good! The quality was a little inconsistent when they first opened the Downtown location but the Fir location is still the Fir location that we used to love. Would definitely come back soon!!
