$6.00 for a hot chocolate. What I received this morning was barely warm. I most definitely will not be going back here again. I'd get better value from store bought powder packets.

The fact that their chai latte had spicy sludge at the bottom shows that they actually make a real chai latte. I got the last raspberry croissant of the day and it was still crisp and tasty. Later on, I got a black magic hot chocolate, which I understand is a seasonal thing. That was pretty good too. Was tempted to get some Nightingale or Hawksworth frozen food, but stopped myself. Next time, perhaps. The cafe itself is not quite near Granville Island and a bit away from the W4 Ave main action. It is worth a stop.

Bel Cafe on 3rd Ave has the best pasties ever. I usually order because I’m always craving something. Their croissant and pain au chocolat are so big and really yummy. Lately I’m obsessing over the cranberry Orange scones. You can keep it for a few days and reheat in your air fryer. Yes I took a bit out of the cookie Sooooo good♥️♥️♥️?

Came here for hot chocolate fest. First time here. Great place to meet up with a friend. Their hot chocolate was great. Not too sweet and interesting flavours.

I'm exploring the area in the last 3 months since my work moved here. So far, this coffee shop is amongst top 3. I like the vibe, it feels so cozy and heart warming. Staff are nice, the pastries are yummy, the coffee is good (I tried their mocha today - not the mocha syrup though for those who are looking for sweet drink). I will definitely come back soon.

Food, cafe are good…maybe change the name system to giving dining in clients a table card…to avoid name confusingComing here after 1 year. Things changed, no outside on street extra seats anymore, maybe it’s winter. It’s really turning cold. Oct.23,2022 Sunday morning, come with euc here to get a coffee. We ordered a croissant, a salmon bagel and two cappuccinos. Stay inside when outside is cold. Inside is also ok, layout is fine but could be better. They have frozen pizza or croissant for you to buy as a choice too.

Staff was super friendly! Unfortunately the food and coffee was disappointing. Avocado toast was $9 for a single piece of toast that looked pretty small and sad. Cappuccino was on the bitter end but nothing I couldn't drink. Probably wouldn't come back. Cute place though!

Love the complimentary "paradise water" - aromatic infused drinking water on tap!!! Excellent croissants, breakfast sandwich, and espresso drinks! Should be successful in expanding and multiplying locations!

Overcharged me for a brewed coffee that I didn’t order. I asked them to return the money they charged me, but they couldn’t refund me. Unprofessional. Thanks for the croissant, the only good thing that comes from this business

Visiting first time. Got a coffee and a Tuna "melt". The tuna was cold, as in fridge cold, the cheese was in chunks and not melted. The bread was warm on the sides only. Not sure if I just got bad service, but if this is how it's normally served I am not coming back.

Very good customer service, amazing cafe and desserts, no many Canadian chefs like Mr Hawksworth can deliver a excellent product ?

i was there just after lunch and frankly, the display case contents were uninspiring and somewhat pedestrian so I opted to just have a coffee which turned out to be okay. The reason for such a low rating for a restaurant owned by the reputable Hawksworth is the condition of the bathroom. There was a sign on the door stating that "the lock is broken so please knock". Not only that but the door would not ever latch! So much for privacy! This was compounded by the nonfunctioning towel dispenser and a general overall filthy condition. With the reputation Hawksworth have, would a $30 lockset be out of the question and a bathroom door that latches? Come on! and apparently this has been going on for some time.

Visited Bel Café on W3rd Ave. in Kitsilanoafter many times of walking by this establishment and always seeing many customers there. Obviously, there was something really good happening there. This was confirmed after checking out their menu and ordering from their baked goods section. Coffee was aromatic and full bodied (no Starbucks here!), and it was paired with a Hazelnut & Milk Chocolate cream puff. This was very attractively presented, but the texture & flavours were simply amazing, the chocolate cream rich, not excessively sweet... and the size of this was awesome if you have a big sweet tooth! The menu here includes savoury items as well, specific to this location (a 2nd one Downtown), with a nice selection of soups, sandwiches, wraps and salads. Seating available both inside and outside. Service here, friendly and efficient. Prices, very reasonable. Come and give this café a try!
