Me and my family came during peak hours, so we expected a long wait, but the food came out super fast! Really impressed with how well they handled the rush. The staff were friendly and efficient, and all the pots were delicious. Highly recommend their new broth which is Sauerkraut. y’all love it if you like spicy and sour.

Food comes super slow and is apparently ignored by the waiter.

Very normal hot pot restaurant. They gave us a free drink because it was happy hour. The broth and food are very good tho. We spent $26 for two people, which was insane. They charge you by weight, so choose light things. The miso broth was good.

Amazing concept and clean place.
I ordered the Tom Yum soup which was so flavourfu.
The servers were very friendly.
I will definitely come back with my wife.

Several others have mentioned being discriminated against, and I'm afraid our experience supports that claim. During a quiet time of the day, we entered the restaurant to see that many tables were empty and a number of four-person booths were occupied by couples. When we politely asked to be seated in one of the many available booths, the server scoffed and insisted that we sit at a tiny table in the completely empty middle aisle—arguably the worst seat in the house. Whenever I walk past this place, I see that Caucasians are prominently seated by the window, while others are seated elsewhere. It is sad to see a restaurant catering to Asians by offering Asian food while looking down on them at the same time.

If you older this in uber eats might need 30$ above. But in real store just need 21$.

Bigway Hotpot (Kerrisdale) is such a great spot! The staff are super kind and friendly; they always make you feel welcome and check in to make sure you’re enjoying your meal. I tried the Tom Yum broth and it was amazing spicy, tangy, and full of flavor. Everything was fresh and tasty, and the whole vibe of the place just makes you want to come back again!

- Good variety of meat and vegetables and noodles
- suitable for vegetarians
- Fresh
- Reasonable price - depends on your appetite and choice. Food with shell weighs heavier and thus cost more.
Courteous service

Big Way doesn't disappoint. Once you get a table the food is quick and tasty and service is very friendly. Good deal is you know what to choose. Broth is rich and flavourful. Parking can be a challenge here and the wait can be long.

Good food. Gets very busy at times. Hard to find street parking especially during rush hours.
Cross-contamination is very likely. If you are allergic to any of the food items, be very cautious as it may have touched your food during selection. The sauce area is also often dirty as the other customers are not careful when getting their share.
