Big Way Hot Pot (UBC)

I have come to this location many times! I think it’s my favourite one. The staff are all very nice. I don’t know where they find such great staff. The soup broth is always consistent.

Even if it’s busy there is a good flow of tables as the space is quite large.

Sonia is an absolute gem and made our experience at Big Way amazing. She was so accommodating of our party and got us seated as soon as she could. The food as always was great!

The food is tasty. Staff are lovely. Service is great. Cheerful atmosphere. Free ice cream after you eat. What’s not to like?

Very busy and young atmosphere. Set up is like the other locations, where it’s easy and organized. Food was delicious as usual.

This is the first time for me going into Big Way to try it out at UBC Campus. At noon time you get a free drink and ice cream with your hot pot. It was great and the price was good. Just be aware that if you pick the fishballs or meatballs, the price will be higher as the food is by weight. You get to pick your soup and make a sauce to go with your meal. The restaurant was clean and organized. I will definitely go back.

Zangmo, was an exceptional person when dealing with her. First time here, made me decide and didn't make me feel bad for deciding. Took her time and help me choose the choice for my foods. Loved it.

The bwoth? So many kinds! I got a suuuper mild one 'cause I'm a wittle baby, but they have spicy ones too! 🔥 And chu pick all chuw own wittle foodies! So many veggies, meats, and teeny-tiny dumplings! My fav! (๑ > ᴗ < ๑)

The sauce bar is wike a magic potion station! ✨ Chu mix chuw own pewfect dippy-dippy! So much fun! (´꒳`)♡

One of the Best Hotpot Experiences!
This was my first time at Big Way Hotpot UBC location and honestly it was one of the best hotpot experiences I’ve had in Vancouver. I went there with my mom and we had such a great time.There was a really cute and friendly staff named Aryal who helped us and recommended a broth and dry mix and both turned out to be amazing. I ordered the spicy Szechuan dry mix and my mom got the miso broth. Both were super flavorful and hit the spot.
What really stood out to us was the service provided by Aryal who was doing everything by herself. She brought us the pot and kept checking in to make sure everything was okay. My mom and I really liked how attentive and kind she was. I even told her I’ll be coming back again with some friends.
Also they had free black tea ice cream at the end which was such a nice surprise.
Definitely recommend checking this place out if you’re near UBC.

It's what you expect from a big way. It being on campus and open late are nice bonuses :) The waits can be pretty long during school season, but there is usually no wait during the summer term.

Had a chance to dine in this morning. Everyone was so sweet and helpful. They checked on us every time and the hot pot is always delicious. Really recommend
