Kindness is infectious. Met with an accident just in front of this cake shop. It was drizzling and cold. Wasn't wearing appropriate for the weather. As I was trying to take shelter in the roadside patio, the staff were super kind. Asked me to come in. And I felt much better inside. All this to a total stranger. While the paramedics,, police and rowing guys did their stuff, this shop its super kind staff will remain etched in my memory. Forever. Thanks, Angels!

A Peculiar Bakery Experience
It was an interesting visit to the bakery today. I had hoped to simply order a coffee, but found myself in a rather… unique situation at the counter. Despite my presence, the three staff members seemed to prioritize another customer who had arrived after me. Following that, they collectively decided that a series of trips to the back, involving what appeared to be very thorough and repeated handwashing, was of utmost importance. I couldn't help but notice their frequent glances in my direction during this process, leading me to speculate that perhaps they were subtly communicating a desire for me to depart. It was certainly an unconventional approach to customer service for a bakery.

Bigsby is the epitome of neighbourhood gem. Minutes after they open, you'll see the dedicated regulars arriving for their morning routine, and who can blame them! By far the tastiest cheese scone I have ever had can be found amongst Bigsby's many beautifully made treats. Highlights for me are the scone (of course), the pop tarts, and the house made potato chips and dip. Seating IS limited and I have never not seen it busy, so be prepared that you may have to get your goodies to go!

Coffee snobs beware....there is no espresso machine here...but the good news is they make a great brewed coffee for a buck less than most other places. Their biscottis are very good . We didn't have lunch here so I can't comment on the food. This is a bakery too. Service was good. The staff was friendly.

Lovely folks. Tried their steak sandwich — it was delicious. Tender meat, horseradish, and fresh arugula to brighten it all. Plus home-made potato chips and a purple pickled carrot!

I’ll be back to try the rest of their menu, especially the pastries.

We came for lunch. It's very crowded. We got strawberry rhubarb and brownie. They taste very good. Many products were finished by the time we got them. Ask for the soup of the day.

Lovely cafe/bakery.

Ordered a egg salad sandwich and ate it at the window counter. Couldn't have had any more pleasant, personable experience with staff/owner. Lovely people.

Sandwich was delicious!

Picked up a loaf of housemade bread too!

Tried a couple items - the berry rhubarb scone and citrus olive oil cake. The scone had a nice texture but contained only two berries in the entire (sizeable) scone. Also, it would have benefited from some lemon zest or dark chocolate to make it more flavourful and interesting. The olive oil cake had nice flavour but was fairly dense.

A nice little bakery/brunch place. Feta and spinach quiche was delicious as was the cinnamon bun and home-made style 'pop tart'. Will have to go back.

I completely agree with the other reviewer-excellent bread but THEY ARE NEVER OPEN! And what bakery opens at 10:00 am on a Saturday? Or any other day? Not open Sundays either! This is a lovely gesture to give her loyal staff their 2 day weekend but are you running a true bakery? Could you at least bake more bread on a Saturday? Turning customers away and telling them to come back at 1:30 for bread on what probably is your busiest day because you don’t have enough from all the preorders doesn’t make business practices. I will continue to try and work around your weird hours because your bread is delicious (and so is the fruit crumble) but seriously?
