The manager Isaac went above and beyond to accommodate our group, some of whom have issues standing so would have been unable to see the performance. He was very thoughtful and caring and made sure we were able to see the show - thanks so much Isaac!!
Door open at 6pm yet we all stand in the rain and cold… I don’t get it apparently the VIP need to get in before the riff raff.
Honestly don’t waste your time coming here. Wait staff treats you like they hate you. My coat was stolen out of our booth. The staff ignored me and then made me feel like they were inconvenienced by me bringing it up. Even if it’s a ticketed event— go somewhere else.
Went to see a show here and the vibes were pretty good! I found the drinks to be quite pricey though, and if you weren’t up at the front by the stage, it was really hard to see anything (and I’m quite tall!) because the stage is quite low. The space itself was really cool though and would be fun for chill events
I was in line on October 26, and the bouncers were horrific. They refused to let our friend in, even though she was sober. They wouldn't listen to reason and insisted she looked emotional and obviously intoxicated, despite us knowing she wasn't. The situation escalated to the point where one bouncer yelled at her, claiming she was beyond emotional, hysterical, and hostile. This behavior was excessive and completely uncalled for.
Our friend went in to speak with the manager, which helped clarify that she was not drunk. However, once inside, the manager loudly told her she wasn’t allowed to drink, drawing unnecessary attention to a situation that had already been resolved. This was extremely unprofessional, and I will be telling everyone not to come here, especially after reading other reviews about the same bouncer dragging young girls out of the venue.
Went to the y2k night with some friends on October 26th, the security guards were extremely violent with a young girl for being intoxicated. They dragged her on the floor by the arms while her friends watched. Was very uncomfortable for the rest of the night.
For small events it is perfect.
Went to Y2K night on October 26th, one of the security guards was extremely aggressive and treated multiple innocent people very poorly. He yelled at this girl that he was going to get her kicked out for being overly intoxicated?(she was calling out her friends name to try and find her in the line), and eventually physically dragged her out of the venue with much force and aggression. It was pretty traumatizing to watch and completely unacceptable. Dj slayed tho <3
Went to see final show of Blocked Party podcast. Had a great time!
Great vibe, tough to see stage
Restaurantji Recommends
Great venue just like the old days ..putting on stuff that's not big enough for the rickshaw etc..staff are lovely..I know you've got to keep alive but bud light $10?..oddly if it was $8 I'd have bought a few but at $10 it puts you off still it needs your support
Great small venue. It’s definitely older but has great vibes. One complaint I always have is that it gets quite hot inside to the point of sweating. Wish it had better ventilation. Also the ceilings could use a clean ?
Great that I can always find free parking in the close by neighbourhoods.
cute place, but super lame they don’t have wheelchair access
Funhouse Carabret, great venue
