I ordered Wenzhou meatballs and mustard fresh meat sesame seed cakes. The meatball soup was sour...the vinegar ruined it. The $8 sesame seed pancakes were only a little portion, and they were still burnt and not tasty. I won't come back.
Ordered Wenzhou meatballs and minced pork with preserved vegetable pancake. The meatball soup was sour…with vinegar, which completely ruined it. The $8 pancake was tiny, overcooked, and not tasty. Won’t be coming back.

Walk all the way down here while the logo along street side shows open and during business hours on Dec 20, door is locked. No one inside…only took picture of the side beside entrance with business hours🤣
No one greeted me coming in (only two people in the kitchen). I had to get my own menu and seat myself in order to not feel awkward.
I ordered $27.80 worth of items for myself, including a take out item.
I was never waited on or checked on other to be asked 5 minutes into my meal if I wanted water or tea. I had to grab myself my own spoon from the back counter area (none at the table) as I wasn’t provided one with my noodles.
It should have been a zero-tip scenario but I decided to tip $1.20 by credit, to help cover transaction fees and because I saw they were working pretty hard (tables were still uncleared; and there was one other party of two at the restaurant after 8pm.
After my receipt printed, I was not asked if I needed a receipt so I pressed the button on my own to print mine. She then looked at the print out and said “only $1?”. No, mamn, $1 and twenty cents more than I should have tipped (not what I said). She gave me a look as if it required an explanation, which was SO off putting; completely shameless and disgraceful. I said “That’s correct; I basically had to serve myself”. It’s one thing to complain about your tip as if it’s an entitlement, it’s another thing to (hopefully) be aware that your service has been sub-terranean, and still complain about your tip.
The food was decent, but I won’t be taking my money here again. Being petty about tips is NEVER worth it, especially when you are the proprietor serving me and the one that should place the greatest currency on and pride in service. It costs you future patronage, which is worth much more than 5% tips (I.e. 10% because GST won’t be remitted to the CRA anyway).
I should have waited for my take-out item to come before paying because now I don’t know whether or not something untoward. I seriously considered throwing it into the compost, just in case, as I had once seen servers at Ninkazu (previously Richmond sushi) swirling chicken wings in a urinal prior to giving it to some bad customers.
But she was nice and smiled with a really nice tone before I left so I’m torn.
Lastly, I was given a branded plastic bag for my take out without being asked if I wanted it nor charged for it, which is a violation of current provincial regulations.
Parking: Small lot out front. Parking in the adjacent street will likely be limited in the daytime.

Spend long time Analyzing restaurant on google map and found this place. It didn’t disappoint me. The Bread, Siumai and noodles are really good. The ingredients are fresh and athletic. Had a chat with the owner, she told me the vegetable in the bread was shipped from China and it was grown on someone backyard. I can tell they have a passion on making good food. I would love to visit again next time in Vancouver.

Saturday night and place empty. The pork thin noodles tasted as if they came from a packet. Fried Tofu boring. Their signature dish of fried pancake with pickled veg was ok. No condiments on the table to add flavour. Cold chilli chicken had the only flavour of the meal. $50 for two and I was still hungry by the end. Stopped after at five guys for a burger!

The cakes are delicious, the noodles are delicious, the service is OK, it would be better if the restrooms were cleaner and the hand sanitizer was filled in time.

Best chinese pancakes I’ve had in Vancouver! We came right before their closing time and ordered a bunch (sorry), but the ladies there didn’t complain at all and they were really nice - they gave us amazing recommendations and stayed beyond their closing time to make sure we get our food freshly made! LOVED the sesame sweet pancakes! Would definitely come back again very soon!

The noodle soup is very fresh, the meat of the siomai is very tender, and a fellow from Hangzhou said that the dried vegetable pancakes have that taste?
