Came here on 31st night. From service to cocktails it was amazing. Despite it being packed at midnight, I had the best experience. Will return soon 🤩

Absolute shitty experience. There’s an older employee who just made it a terrible and weird. Right when we walked in, no one spoke to us so we decided to seat ourselves as it was not busy whatsoever. A rude employee who asks us if we had a reservation (mind you we stood at the door for a while), then proceeds to kick us off to another table. As it really wasn’t too big a deal to move, the server comes to take our order then proceeds to insult me for what I had ordered. I understand having a bad day, but completely unnecessary behaviour that no one really deserves.

I’ve been in restaurants for a while and I’m not the person to leave this kind of comment, but it was just the worst from start to end.

We used to love coming here but recently went back and the drinks and food were awful. I ordered a burger and it came dry with no sauce at all. The fries were good though…I am wondering if they’ve changed ownership? What a shame. The servers were friendly at least.

We are usually pretty chill people. We ordered some drinks, which took over 30 minutes and didn’t arrive until after we had received our overcooked tenders as an appetizer. We ordered food, mainly consisting of salads, soup, and a burger, which took over an hour. We ended up leaving and paying for our bill. Would not recommend. Drinks were mediocre at best, same with the food. Everything was so slow, and in such a big city there are plenty of other great restaurants to check out. Not this place.

We ordered 4 meals online through the Black Frog website for pickup. We arrived at our scheduled time, and were told it wasn’t ready. We politely asked when it would be ready and the server told us she didn’t know and we could just cancel it. We were a little taken aback, but chalked it up to a busy server. We went back in to check about 15 minutes later, this time with the bartender, and it still wasn’t ready. He said they didn’t have our order, and asked how we had ordered (Uber Eats, which was the option the restaurant website had provided). He checked with the kitchen, found the order, apologized, and said it wouldn’t be too long. We received our order, and the bartender was genuinely apologetic. Walking back home, we realized we only received three of the four meals. We went back and said we had ordered 4 meals, and was told that we had only ordered three. We opened the meals to figure out what was missing and he went back to the kitchen to check there. They then realized that yes, there was a 4th meal they had missed and it would just be a few minutes. The 4th meal came out, very quickly. The two men behind the bar were again apologetic for the experience. When we got home with the food, the last minute meal was significantly over cooked (perhaps forgotten in the deep fryer?), and missing a side. The perogies that we had requested without bacon had bacon on them, and the sandwich we had ordered on a gluten free bun was not gluten free. I called the restaurant because I wasn’t confident in the bun at this point, and it was for someone with celiac disease. They checked with the chef and confirmed it wasn’t gluten free and that we hadn’t ordered it that way. Both the no bacon request and the gluten free bun request had been added in on the online order, but somehow the chef didn’t see them. Overall, the food was underwhelming, and the experience was poor.

Came here for Christmas Day 2025 and although it was busy the service, food and atmosphere were sensational! Shout out to Gurleen who served us tirelessly with a smile 😊

The location is great. You could see both the steam clock and the Canada Place from the restaurant. The service was good, too. However the food was just so-so and didn't really match the view or the price. They tried to serve representative dishes from various regions but couldn't make them impressive. For instance, the prime rib we ordered wasn't hot enough when served. Maybe their drinks are better but we didn't order any. We were seated right next to a young couple with 2 toddlers who treated their table as their playground. Sitting no more than a feet away, we had a lot of trouble talking to each other, and I really think they deserve a more isolated table.

Went on Christmas Day, place was busy and short staffed. We waited over an hour for any food including appetizers. My family got chips & salsa, onion rings, fish & chips, buffalo wrap & burger. Tortilla chips were very hard, onion rings were over fried. Also got our salads wrong. Would not visit again mostly because we didn't enjoy the food.

I stopped by for a beer and ended up staying for a few more because the ambiance and the service was incredible. Beautiful view of the Vancouver convention centre on one side, and the steam clock on the other, they even turn down the music when the clock goes off so you can fully hear it. My waitress, Gurleen, was very kind and I was never left waiting with an empty glass. Awesome spot to have a quiet drink by yourself, or have some drinks with friends in a beautiful, cozy bar with great views. Will be coming back for sure!

I think this place must have new owners. Way different in a bad way. Our cocktails were almost undrinkable. Food wasn’t worth it either. Sad, last time we came (year ish ago) it was a lot better. I doubt I’ll ever be back. Sad. Below is a pic of the orange that came in my negroni. Looks like it was chewed on at breakfast. 😂

Went late night after a movie, and Ryan was our server. He went above and beyond taking care of our table while also seeming to manage the front of house entirely on his own. Lovely place, close to transit, and Ryan also had a great sense of humor when it came to getting this American their ranch. Would recommend for the good vibes!
